Going to try something here. A community storytime thread where anyone can storytime a favorite single issue/arc/etc. Might be fun. Wait until the current storytime is done before you start, or give a heads up so people know.
Here's one of my favorites: Daredevil #191

Got nothing to post, but that was a good read.
Time for a classic.

I've considered doing something like this, but I always worry it would turn out to be a clusterfuck of different anons trying to storytime at the same time, or people not storytiming at all while waiting for others to do so.
>>85897260
>>85897292
>>85897272
Yeah, I saw nobody participating, so even with my shitty Wi-Fi, I stepped up to the plate.
>>85897272
That's why I said if someone's going to do something to give a heads up. Honestly, I'm not expecting much. I'm surprised even one person storytimed something.
>>85897379
And I'm out. Who shall step forward and share their tale of capes?
>>85897399
I like the concept of people gathering around and reading some comics like this, but it really depends on people being willing to participate. I saw no volunteers, so I storytimed Colonel Corps.
Hope no one minds if I storytime a B&W indie noir title. Just the first issue, at least.
IF CAPTCHA WOULD LET ME
>>85895989
Thanks, Miller's DD is some of the best stuff Marvel published and this issue is the highlight of the initial run
End of issueMaybe I'll storytime something more colorful after a few other anons have had a go at the thread
>>85898008
That was pretty good.
I'd be interested in reading more of this sometime.

Thanks m8, loved this one, moore is always great when he writes weird stuff
Time for one of the most fun Punisher stories ever Told.
The year is 2099, the world is a gritty 90s cyberpunk dystopia and Jake Gallows is here to clean up the trash.
This is Punisher 2099 #12
That's a flag captcha, not a street sign
Now for best Punisher page of all time

This is a really great idea OP, one of the things that drew me to /co/ so many years ago when I was trying to get into western comics were the storytimes, and I don't mean the ones on Wednesday, I mean the random middle of the night storytimes.
The idea that we as a /co/llective would post up our favorite single issues of various comics in a singleGeneral?thread is a very awesome idea that I fully support.

>General?thread
Maybe. If the thread went somewhere I was considering doing it again(seems like it is). It's like those "get someone to read a comic with one page" threads, but with an entire issue instead.

I'm personally against the idea of making any sort of General, since the cultures that spring up from them tend to be cancerous. Just keep this firmly in the "whenever it feels right" category.
>>85902977
Over on /wsg/ rather than Generals, they just number there threads.
>Comic Thread #445
And they seem like they never have to deal with the crowd that generals draw.
>>85902977
I feel like you're less likely to get general cancer in a storytime thread. JSA storytimes are some of the best threads to discuss comics on here and that's been going on for a long while now.
>>85902977
Getting people to actually read comics with this much diversity in narrative will not cause that. What causes general cancer is hiatuses and the generally mental instability of adults who obsess over children's cartoons
>>85903630
This. Generals on /co/ are usually from cartoonfags who are cancer by default.
>>85895989
I actually thought he'd kill him there. You really are a dirty liar, Matt.
>>85902626
The way this is drawn, it looks like John isn't wearing any pants in the first panel and it's just hir hairy leg.

I guess running really fast is hungry work.
>>85902909
That was great.
I really need to read more Constantine.
Here goes, /co/, gonna storytime this old Spidey issue. My first ever proper storytime

Matt thought Peter was planning on helping him during "Born Again".
That's kinda cute.

I saw Bode at my first San Diego Con where he did his memorable slide show live narration of his characters. He loved performing for an appreciative audience. It was1975 and I know he would have found the success he deserved and still be entertaining if things were different.
>>85906548
classic Peter

Yeah this, reading ultimate spiderman, vision, the metabarons and the works of the authors of beautiful darkness are some of the best times i've had on /co/

Sorry Supes and batsy, this is my favourite conic book friendship
>>85909122
Yeah, it's very understated, and I doubt we'll get to see any of it in the MCU either
>>85898008
That was good
I think we're going to hit image limit soon. Is it okay if I start the second thread with a story from Unknown Worlds Of Science Fiction? The whole thing is 84 pages but the story I want to do is roughly 20 pages.
