So anyone on /co/ interested in this or should I stick to /tg/?

>Warhammer 40k animation made in the cryengine
>the fucking prologue comes out today
>Actual film releases next year
I mean it cant be as worse as the Ultramarines movie right?
>>85836377
>Ultramarines movie
Wait 40k has an animated movie already of the Smurfs too shit how bad was this?
Also this movie might be good no space marine shit the best parts of 40k are the regular humans fighting the horrors of space.
>>85836599
I think the movie has Grey Knights which are basically "Super" Space Marines plus Lord Inquisitors are decked out in power armor.
Id kill for a series based on this smug mother fucker
>>85836649
>ciphias "memeisarr" cain
>not an HBO series on Eisenhorn
>>85836649
Take your pick 40k has the best commissars
>Commissar Holt
>Ignore this one shit /tg/ meme
>Commissar Ciaphas Cain HERO OF THE IMPERIUM
>Commissar Ghuant
>Commissar Yarrick
>Eisenhorn
>Not an HBO series about the Redeemer
>>85836784
40k has to much shit to cover and thats just with mankind.
Anything about Orks would be a goldmine
>>85836784
>>85836377
>"Nobody expects the Inquisition."
Dropped.
>>85836784
>not eisenhorn
>he doesn't want to watch a man slowly go lower and lower in pursuit of his aims, corrupted by the very nature of the universe
Why are we still here? Just to meme?
But for real though, the best start would undoubtedly be a series off of the horus heresy books.
>>85836784
Commissar Dan is the best meme.
>>85836819
>Deff Skwadron: The Movie
Fund it.
Is the cryengine really the best choice to make an animated movie on? Sure it looks impressive but what about shit like moving/facial animations? Or organic looking textures.
Eh this is 40k so they are probably going to be covered head to toe in power armor and purity seals
>>85836851
>But for real though, the best start would undoubtedly be a series off of the horus heresy books.
No, that'd be ridiculously expensive, prone to being very bad, and very limited in scope. Gaunt's Ghosts is the way to go; it'd be about as expensive as your average war film with a bit of CGI for Ork/Daemon/Space Marine scenes.
>>85836377
But who cares about a bunch of fags who worship a dead fag who got rekt by his own son?
>>85836906
>and very limited in scope.
Alright, modern CGI being what it is and improving like it is, I can safely ignore the other points.
As for this point- There are so many HH books that the scope would be pretty large indeed.
>>85836941
>wipes his soul out forever with only the smallest amount of effort
>fag who got rekt
Go to sleep abby.
>>85836906
Horus Heresy is a fucking soap opera in space about a bunch of guys with daddy issues.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjPRPgsJ2m0
Gaunts Ghosts,The Last Chancers, or a movie about space marines
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZc6cr6G2E4
Hmm not bad for eight minutes but like this anon said >>85836885 I dont really think the Cryengine is the best choice for human textures
>>85836961
No, I mean it'd either have to go on for several years in order to cover the entire scope, or focus on, like... maybe five legions, total, and cover everything from before the war to the assault on Terra in three seasons.
