But beyond that Clark is extremely sharp and smart, but during his entire life until all his human allies, lois and bruce are dead he always try to be Clark more than Kal, he is a pretty good scientist, but that is thanks to his super speed, it's not that he limits himself, it's just that he choose to live as a man, and see the world as mortals do. His mind doesnt work as ours.
