Why does all the animation look exactly the fucking same?
Where's the variety for god's sake?
Are we really having another one of these threads?
Like it or not, TTGo is different stylistically.
>>85757601
I'll take, "studios want a recognizable style and demand all their shows to fit it" for 500, Alex.
>>85757601
This again
>>85757601
Are you an artist?
Understand subtle style differences?
>>85757601
I think it's people that don't draw at all that say these kinds of things
>>85757601
It looks different you fuck, stop bitchingsour cream is cutest
>>85757642
Not really
It's also a shitty show, so whatever merits are null anyways
So which one is the cutest baby
>>85757601
>Why does all the animation look exactly the fucking same?
Have you actually watched Gumball?darwin is the cutest bab
>>85757823
Sour Cream is both the cutest and the coolest.
You see, each image is composed of a very similar color pallet of White and Blue. And because all of them are supposed to be babies, it's natural that their designs remain very circular in nature without any marks that would otherwise signify age. Darwin stands out the most but that's just because orange goes very well with Blue. Ironic that the fish out of water blends in very naturally with the rest of the characters
Also, I would recommend reading up on Character Design. There's a very good reason why characters look similar to each other. Because each and every character has to be made out of the same 3 basic shapes. Your brain registers them as similar because that's the entire idea of a cartoon, you're characterizing visual elements in ways your brain is able to understand. Compare this to something rotoscoped. While rotoscoping captures the essence of motion very well, we have been trained since birth to like what is consistent. Hence why it's weird when a Ninja Turtle randomly changes the color of it's headband or when a Simpsons character is a slightly different hue of yellow compared to the regular cast. It's just how we think
We've discussed this topic ad nauseam,
With the invention of the internet, Television Networks have a hard time competing. This is especially true with animation networks, since you run into the same production problem with YouTube, where animation costs way more than live-action, and bigger risks can not be taken like they used to. Simplistic, is the fashion right now, not to mention it costs less not to have so many lines to draw for each frame.
With the exception of several shows, you should be glad that they have enough integrity to not have every show they make use puppet rigs. In fact, now more than ever, it's easier to get your own show on TV. Networks aren't hiring people from Cal Arts, as is the popular belief, they are hiring people from the internet. It's way less risky to do that since they would already have had years to prove themselves as a reliable content creator. This means that all you have to do to get your own show is to be internet famous, and be able to stick to a deadline, that's something anyone can do, so long as you're willing to put the work in.
As for complaining about it, there's no point. Unless you have the resources to give these networks enough money to make whatever they want, like the Laika situation, you're going to keep seeing cartoons working in trends, just like they did in the 60's, 70's, 80's, yes even the 90's, and every dividend of 10 that we are forced to live through.

I'm an ARfag and all those are terrible.
>>85757809
There's no denying that TTG looks vastly different from other CN shows.
>>85757601
Darwin is objectively the cutest. Even in world he's the cutest.
>>85757809
Good enough to get more seasons than young justice
>>85757601
wait a sec
are you trying to do a fucking calarts thread?
>>85757809
>Not really
How so, it has more in common with canadian flash animation than it has with the current USA style. Thick out lines, sharp chins, elbows and fingers, and people losing teeth when they get hit.
>>85757601
Finn chubcute
Ice Bear animal cute
Sour Cream cool
Darwin faggot cute
>>85757601
Sour Cream, followed closely by Ice bear. Finn is this weird lumpy thing, and Darwin is over the top with the "cute" features in a way that doesn't really come across as especially cute.
Baby Sour Cream is objectively the best. I'm still a bit sad that no one knows what happened to him though.
>>85757860
This. He was such a cute baby that he made an immortal being say "I want to have/be one."
>>85758754
Meh.
>>85757601
Animators wanted to be like Japan
>>85758422
Wow no shit
>>85757601
It doesn't look the same,it looks fucking terrible.
>>85757809
the first 9 episodes were decent before the TTG team started to mock the fans
>>85757601
i think sourcream was the cutest baby because he would just say "wah" in the same adult voice
>>85758135
Much like a sidewalk spattered with faeces and dead animal guts looks different from a clean sidewalk.
Ice Bear baby is clearly the cutest.
>>85757823
Darwin, obviously.
>>85758050
>>85758008
Thanks. You may die now

>>85757823
Ice Bear yo
>>85757601
>>85757601
A show from the 1960's with a character from this year (2006) photoshopped onto it. WTF? see that difference in quality? what's wrong with this generation
>>85757601
gumball looks completely different
>>85758337
Cheaper to produce, literally the only reason.
>>85762149
>>85757601
I'd like to think this is the current generation's version of what happened in the 90s when Ren and Stimpy was the shit and then you had many cartoons trying to pull the same gross character and jokes style to varying degrees of success.
This is just the aftermath of Adventure Time's success.
>>85757601
we're passing through the same creativity-sucking dimensional void we were in in the mid 60s and Hanna Barbera was somehow the metric by how all cartoons were made.
>>85757601
Because you're blind.
