Well, Blade is from Tomb of Dracula. Though he was pretty different originally. He got a pretty big movie synergy overhaul after the films came out. His appearances can be kind of a crapshoot. The last time I really enjoyed something with him in it was Captain Britain & MI13. Which had a pretty entertaining story arc with Dracula as the antagonist.

Buffy? If you liked the show you'll probably like the comics.

It makes me cringe to think that teeny boppers actually do this, because they associate vampires with Twilight rather than with fucking Dracula, Alucard, or Blade.

Zombies, and werewolves, are boring. Vampires are the best undead, and monsters, in general, because they can hide amongst and outsmart their prey, and have centuries of experience doing so to hunters. In settings with magic, they've been leveling up for long enough that living magi can't fight against them. They retain enough of their personality, and are convincing enough as a threat, to function, alone, as effective villains.

DeMatteis' I... Vampire! is great stuff too. I never got into the reboot series from a few years ago, but it had some really nice art from what I saw of it.

How is Dracula in DC? I'm a pretty big vampire buff, but all I've ever seen with him in DC is the vs Batman stuff, and that's Elseworlds. I've heard he does exist in mainstream DC though.

Dracula as a character doesn't really show up much in DC. He's much more a Marvel thing. Andrew Bennett is the guy who fills their (heroic) Dracula role.

I love vampires. I love Jubilee. I'm not thrilled with vampire Jubilee. However, she shows up more since becoming a vampire than she had been. I don't think anyone ever knew what to do with her powers before and super strength just simplifies everything.

The New 52 reboot version is actually legitimately good shit. Got ignored because people assumed it was cashing in on Twilight Vampires even though it up-ends a lot of those cliches

Plus it has Sorrentino art so it's a fucking gorgeous book.
