You're not wrong but the whole point of superheroes is to be silly and absurd but also inspirational symbols of the best humanity has to offer.

Obviously this becomes an issue when writers try to make serious, dark pieces of work featuring pre-established characters whose feats include shit like flying through the sun or dueling with gods but thats more a symptom of bad writing than capeshit being inherently bad.

Ultimately blame the incosistent writers and retcons, not the heroes.
