Is this a good book to read if you're depressed? It looks beautiful but I only know it's good and the title makes it seem a little dark, so I just need to know how dark it is. Thanks.

Set sail for depression.

It's dark but I don't know if its the "depressing" sort of dark. It's more horrifying and creepy. A good read either way.

uh, if you're depressed, you're likely going to want to find some easier fare, the "darkness" goes pretty darn deep
beauty by the same writer is a lighter read with some real wit to it, i'd suggest that instead

Don't know how it will affect you, but it is very dark and depressing. Actually it's more disturbing than most comic books I read. Think of the Loaners and The Lord of the Flies combined.

If you want to kill yourself at the end of rrading it, then yes.

Don't, it's not beautiful.
Holy shit that's a bad decision OP
Read The life and times of Uncle Scrooge or Marvel Adventures instead

I read it but it wasn't really that depressing.

It's the best commentary on life I've seen in awhile
Meg Omfg & Owl. Everyone relates to at least one character in it.
Well, if you like to see other people suffer at the hands of callous and silly cartoon fairies, it might ease your pain. Embrace your inner sadist!

I wouldn't recommend it for a depressed person.
And I can't even suggest another book with the same art stylr, all of their work is pretty sad, with Beauty being the happiest one (and that's saying something).
If you feel like playing russian roulette, you can read Franquin's last laugh, which is one of the darkest humorous comics I know of.
