Did Alan Morrison ruin Joker by turning him into an icon of nihilism in Killing Joke?
...??
What was he before, then?

I always wondered what tune it was supposed to be sung to.

A joker.

>an icon of nihilism
Why do people cite the, self-affirmed no less, psychotic lunatic as if he's the one to have figured it all out?
>>85442038
Is this supposed to be a koan?
>>85442574
Nihilism is the joke?
>>85442025
I always read it as a Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band track.

Suggestions for a melody, though?

isn't it a parody of Always Look on the Bright Side of Life?
>>85442696
Hmmm, with a little bending it can almost work.
I haven't read The Killing Joke since I got it on paper. Can a kind /co/mrade storytime it?

>Alan Morrison
I remember reading an interview Alan Moore did where he said that the reason he dislikes The Killing Joke is because he had just finished writing Watchmen and the character of Comedian was still stuck in his head when he was writing the Joker.

Weird no one spotted it earlier.

I wonder if the Joker is actually a good singer.
I like to imagine he can't carry a tune for shit and this was just extra grating.
Frank Miller did it first in DKR.

We were all successfully ignoring it.
