Sesame Street's been operating at a loss for a few years now between competition from all the other kids show stuff and the DVD market collapsing. HBO's their new sugar daddy and the show's been getting seriously retooled with the runtime being cut down to a half-hour format and the street itself getting gentrified as shit. Like even the new intro looks like the fucking Whole Foods parody commercial from South Park.

PBS will still get Sesame Street, but they have to wait like 6-9 months after episodes air on HBO.
