This is a false quasi-meme. He threw one two knock out his partner in the flashback. Another when he fooled Slipknot to escape. Threw at least one explosive boomerang in the finale fight. There was also the surveillance boomerang he threw when they were spying on Enchantress as they formulated his plan. Might have been one or two more, can't recall, Rest of the time he used his boomerangs as knives, which is entirely solid way to fight in tight spaces. So that's at least four, he was hiding half the time in the fights, and what number would be appropriate anyway according to you? A dozen? Him throwing boomerangs for fifteen seconds straight?

It would have required intricate camera work and slow-mo scenes just to showcase them properly. Seems like a lot of work for little gain when he wasn't event he main character.

Katana is literally the single most pointless character in the movie.

Although Croc and Boomerang did very little too but at least they have a purpose in the squad, plus they were the only two characters that actually got laughs from the audience. Katana doesn't fit at all, she's rushed into the movie with the role of protecting Flagg (though he basically has his own army to do that anyway) yet does nothing. She doesn't interact with the squad at all, and we don't know why she's loyal to Flagg. She's just sort of there for the action scenes.

And what was the point of Scott Eastwood, was he only there cause he's mates with Ayer?

I don't get why they bothered with the Deadshot mask. He only puts it on for scene transitions and takes it off as soon as they're on the next set, it's weird as hell. At least the character was decent, even if a bit too "Will Smith as himself"
