Anyone find it funny that despite never making it into the comics these guys have been homages and riffed on for decades?
Hell, Apache Chief got his first AND last name from cartoons that came out 30+ years after the show.
There was a JLU episode about these freaks, DC comics has a diversity problem.

I don't ever recall them making any homages to El Dorado. Apache Chief gets most of them. Blac Vulcan references are super rare too.

Young Justice
Static also had Soul Power meant to be Vulcan but rights issues made him an oc (which is funny because that's why Vulcan was made in the first place, not even the first time that's happened)

Which helped create the "Black Heroes With Electricity Powers" meme.

Long Shadow was GOAT. And their Wonder Twins were actually bearable

>tfw no porn of them
Apache Chief in Young Justice was cool, with astral projections
>>85219187
They were all in YJ too, with the exception of Black Vulcan maybe.

I think they had Static for that.

I don't know if it's ever been said whether or not that was intentional that JLU episode feels like it cribbed heavily from Tales of the Teen Titans #48 which is about a group of artifically created superheroes (in this case by Dayton Industries instead of the government) finding out the truth about themselves and that their end is coming soon which causes them to rebel and come into conflict with the main characters. Although at the end of the Titans stories the Recombatants decide to kill themselves to destroy the lab where their clones are being made instead of turning themselves in.

The Young Justice versions were pretty dope

Asami didn't have wind powers and was fucking annoying

YJ used Static in Black Vulcan's place.
