I actually quite like it, and I'm a big fan of the first cartoon.

The fact that it features the original cast goes a long toward that.

The problem of TTGO is not that is flat out bad, it's that it's not consistent.

One episode can be really hilarious with very good jokes, the next one can be Cyborg and Beast Boy saying Waffles for 11 minutes which apparently passes as comedy these days.

I watched five episodes, didn't laugh at all, and decided I was done with it.

I feel like a lot of people maybe give it a pass because of references and especially waifus.

it was bad, then the episode we getting canceled played, and the crew realized how to make the show good. If you need proof, watch the slade episode, or the finally a lesson episode. If you don't understand the metaphor in the slade episode, you certainly belong on /b/, and the finally a lesson inverts the standing bullshit learning lessons garbage that's been rehashed for decades, and actually teaches a valuable lesson.
