Stop saying hurtful truths
I can see why people might think it's just an Archer knock-off, but it wasn't actually bad.
>>85033642
Yeah but the allegations of it being an Archer knock off were completely superficial.

I loved this show.
Comedy Central doesn't know how to handle cartoon shows other than south park. Why hype up the return of futurama and then cancel it again?
>>85033783
wow wait now
what is this?
>>85033240
at least this show got 3 seasons
>>85033845
Comedy Central can only handle one successful cartoon at a time.

It hurts.
>>85034003
how about they make a good cartoon then?
>>85034062
Motorcity was good, fuck you.
>>85034003
also forgot metalocalypse that's another cancelled show
>>85034003
9th grade ninja sucked, but otherwise you have a point.
I still haven't gotten over it
>>85033252
This
>>85034196
it was alright
Disney XD never ran reruns though so its a wonder it even lasted as long as it did
>>85034121
Metalocalypse had 4 seasons and a movie. Shows don't have to go on forever.
>>85033240
The first season was up there with the first 3 seasons of the Boondocks as some of the best animated television for adults, ever. Everything after flanderized the characters too much, but that first season was ridiculously well-written.
>>85033924
did it get a proper ending?
I don't want to invest in sadness
>>85034310
I liked this show.

>>85033783
It's too bad. We could have saved it.
>>85034310
it was really good, now we got something similar to boring Seinfeld
>>85033252
i really wished Adult Swim picked it up
>>85033069
I don't understand why this got greenlit as a comedy. Make it an action/drama with tangential comedy a la Cowboy Bebop.
;_;
>>85033252
after the whole "spy" thing, the show went to shit
>>85035229
Good, fuck that show
>>85033069
And for good reason
>>85035647
Yeah, new season of southpark was airing right after it.
This show had the unfortunate privilege of being on FXX (which is owned by FOX. btw the only thing keeping fxx alive is always sunny and Simpsons reruns ad infinitum) along with a couple other entertaining cartoons in their short lived "ADHD" block. Stone Quackers was by far the best one on the block. This show was made Ben Jones who also made Problem Solverz for CN. I think he showed some real potential here and really grew as a writer/director since Problem Solverz.
>>85035763
ADHD had a lot of good shows actually, most anthology cartoon series are crap like Triptank but not a bad show on that block
>>85033252
Too pure for this world
>>85033069
I hope Adult Swim picks it up at least
Got room for an old earth defense protocol robot?
>>85035229
I don't understand why these types of shows center around the generic whitebread dudebro. The fat friend looks interesting. The hipster chick looks interesting. Even the nerd looks like you could write something original about his life. Instead, everything centers around the smug, "normal" guy.
It's appropriate that this show was about a rock band, since rock has become the most banal of the popular music genres, so mediocre that the only way it could beat the complex instrumentation and productions of disco was by inciting a riot that cowed DJs across the country.
Even Korra is better than this shit spectacle. At least it tried.
Am I... Dying?
>>85036349
Because it's easier to relate/self-insert with a generic protagonist, and making your show more interesting doesn't trump making it successful.
>>85036041
this was the show so many on /co/ say they wish would be made and don't understand why there aren't shows like it
and it fucking bombed
it hurts
>>85036686
Why did it bomb?
>>85036657
then the answer is simple; we kill all the nondescript whitemen
>>85035695
No it was the opposite. South Park was airing right before it. If Moonbeam City aired after South Park it may have had a better chance.

>>85035763
>Shortlived
I still don't know if it's cancelled or not.
It's their own fucking fault though, they refused to add any new content to the block except once in a fucking blue moon. There was no way to tell when any new content would air or even tell what was airing that night since it was all just under the same fucking block name.
There'd be whole months where the only thing new was those shitty painfully millennial intercommercial shorts would air. And the shows had so little content you'd occasionally air the same episode twice in a row.
>>85037898
I saw this posted in a thread here, it's on the last video that the Youtube channel posted. Heather Campbell sung in the Scientifically Accurate vidoes and voice acted on some other things.

I only watched a few episodes of Moonbeam City. It looked gorgeous but I just didn't find it that funny. It reminded me too much of Archer which I became sick of years ago.
>>85034003
Superjail got cancelled. They stealth confirmed that at a convention last year.
>>85041715
well shit

They were drawing a pic of a "Titmouse Cemetery" with gravestones saying "Megas XLR, Motorcity, Metalocalypse", etc as a response ot msot fan questions being about what they would have planned for those shows (The Motorcity one sounded awesome). Then the guy quickly made one that said "Superjail" and took the drawing off of the projector.

And not only that, they fucking dragged everyone around for months giving false hope that they'd work something out.
What the fuck is wrong with them?

>>85076616
Lets be real man it was time for it to go.
It had a really long and good run. Not a lot of shows last that long let alone got a theatrical release of a movie
>>85076659
You're not wrong, last i checked it was one of the top ten longest running animated series even before it was cancelled. It was just a shame to see the show go the way it did, that slow decline from 24 episdoes a season to less then a dozen and then eight or nine. Not to mention the fact that after Aqua something you know whatever the episodes were really getting spotty.
I guess I just wish that the last season had been more satisfying in its entirety, the last episode was good enough to pacify me and hell, it had a fucking movie and a game in the 00's. I suppose i was in denial and thought it would just go on forever, so when it ended on a mildly low note it hit me pretty hard.
