What does /co/ think of Total Drama Island? I'm watching

First season was pretty good, but as with anything thats successful, they dragged it out into like 4 other seasons with shitty themes.

It's alright. It's not great and it can get stupid, but ultimately it's fine.

It's kind of disappointing how a lot of the most entertaining characters get voted off early.

It's all actually pretty watchable.

but that's about as far as my praise goes. It's watchable. It's not amazing, it's not that incredibly funny, it's just amusing enough to binge-watch in the background of doing something else.

I'd work out with it on in the background as just visual noise to focus on

It was my guilty pleasure when it was first airing, but I never really bothered to follow the entire series.

I genuinely enjoyed TDI and TDA. Had mixed feelings about TDWT - some was good, some was bad.

Never bothered to watch anything past that because I couldn't be bothered connecting with a new cast.

This might sound dumb since it's a cartoon but the big turnoff for me about Total Drama is how outrageous it got as it went on. The first season was at least somewhat grounded in reality because it was just about some teens at a summer camp and I could picture a lot of the challenges happening in real life. I never watched TDA but I watched about half of TDWT and the outlandishness of a lot of the challenges created an awkward sense of dissonance between TDI.

There was also the deterioration of the writing and some of the most likable characters being pushed to the sidelines. TDI is the only season worth watching.
