does anyone else here unironically watch videos for young children etc? I find them to be actually extremely soothing especially when I am stressed out
>>

Then you might actually have autism.

this isn't a meme though there are always such peaceful and smooth visuals that just have a way of making you feel nice
>>
OP, look into infantilism/adult babies.

You might enjoy the life of an adult baby more.

ey fuck off I'm trying to start a decent discussion here

watching calming children's stuff is something worth trying at least once
>>
>>84956494
No, pretty sure the above anons are correct. Shh, shhh, shhh. It's okay. Rest widdle baybeh.

Although I will say, I used to watch a time zone shifted PBS when I got home from the club at like 4 AM, and they'd be showing the kids block of like Eureka's Castle and Big Comfy Couch and some shit like that, and it was a pretty good way to come down.
>>
>>84956494
Yeah fuck you, I bet you'd get hard from wearing diapers too.

Children's TV programming is awful for anyone with an adult brain, so you're either a manchild or really fucked up in the head.
>>
actively seeking it out to watch is strange

turning it on as pleasant, mindless background noise to sleep to is understandable

my family works third shift, when we all shared a home we used to turn on Nick Jr. and yell stupid nonsense at the screen together as we ate and drank, it was a nice way to prepare for bed at noon
>>
>>84956270
no, stuff like that makes uncomfortable.
>>
>>84956270
not shows, but I do buy kids books. for the whole, soothing and simple story lines
>>
>>84956530
I'm not talking about TV programming

More like those really nice YouTube videos

And the comfy landscapes etc
>>
>>84956805
So you watch Youtube kindergarten videos as a hobby because they make you feel good in the most simplistic way.

You're a fucking manbaby.

I don't really do it myself but I respect your honesty OP.
At the end of the day it's still adults making these shows right?
>>
>>84956828
What do you do that makes you such a noble and honorable individual?
>>84956842
I have to agree from what I've seen

I find young children to be extremely soothing when I am stressed.
>>
>>84956270
I watch a lot of shows aimed at young kids because whenever my 4 year old watches tv she wants Cbeebies put on.

I wouldn't say I actively try to watch any of the shows ever, but every now and then I'll look up from my book/3DS/whatever if its something comfy on like Sarah and Duck

If you actively seek that banal shite out, your fucking autistic anon

>Inb4 you're a shit parent
>>
>>84957196
>whatever if its something comfy on like Sarah and Duck

this is OP's entire point.

there's nothing wrong with admitting that a children's show is comfortable given that's what they're supposed to be.
>>
>>84956973
I don't watch cartoons for babies, that's what.
>>
Transformers: Rescue Bots is bretty gud

There is something wrong with actively seeking it out which is actually what OP is on about

we've had a few threads
thats where the mega came form, but it's kind of obsolete now that it's all on netflix anyway

Colorful and smooth designs are just automatically soothing and attractive for autistic people. It's the same reason Sonic and MLP have such a huge following.

This thread is basically under aged shitlords trying to redeem themselves by telling stressed out people they have autism.
Sorry for that, OP.
You are right though, if you don't really dig into the "plot", these shows can be a good "background noise" for calming down.
>>
>>84957455
See also: DC and Marvel comics

Hey there OP, try not to be so transparent next time

I don't get how any sane person would watch them unironically alone that is over the age of 5

In the meme sense, yeah. Actual definition of how it works...bit more complicated. The early 40s-60s would definitely have an appeal towards autistic people. The big two from the 70's-90's (based on their more famous books) would be the opposite of what they like, the coloring is dark and everything has rough edges. Then we get the 2000s, which appealed to the autistic readers during their weeb phase, but with the more realistic art it wouldn't be appealing. Same thing with modern day comics, except now we're kinda shifting back into that weeb phase we had with books like Gwenpool, which definitely has visuals an autistic person would find soothing. Not to mention over simplified faces, which is also very appealing towards autistic people.

>>84956842
Notice how they're all bright and colorful and how the edges of everything are smooth and rounded. Also the simplified faces. This causes it to have a major appeal towards autism. Now compare and contrast that to something like McFarlane. Notice how the darker colors, heavy focus on shadows and how everything looks edged off and rough. This would be the opposite of what an autistic person would be drawn towards. God I miss that art style.

that makes me wonder, what type of people make cartoons for children aged 5 and down and what type of people make pic related for kids 10 and down.
>>
I like how someone just saying they find little kids' shows relaxing gets a bunch of "lol autism" replies, but someone saying essentially the same thing but using the word "comfy" suddenly makes the same dumb sentiment legitimate.

It's all the same shit, man.
