how many of these are actually worth getting?
i've marked the ones i have
>>84950387
>Injustice
>essential
The whole list is tainted.
>>84950387
What the fuck is Daytripper?
And why are the nu52 restart comics called "Vol. 1"? Regardless, nu52 Suicide Squad was really fucking horrible.

>>84950654
so it's shit
>>84950654
>What the fuck is Daytripper?
The best goddamn book on that list you illiterate scoundrel
>>84950734
Daytripper is good, so is Superman/Batman vol 1, Batman: The Long Halloween & SupermanL Red Son.
Injustice is loads of fun

>What the fuck is Daytripper?
Casuals baka
>>84951142
i think ill get sup/bat and red son soonish
ill keep daytripper in mind
Preacher and Y: The Last Man are pretty great and TDKR is obviously iconic as is Red Son. The New 52 Wonder Woman run is also quite enjoyable, I'd at least try it.
The Dark Knight Returns is fantastic, but keep in mind that the only other Batman book by Frank Miller that you should read is Batman Year One.
And nothing else.
Justice League Origins is meh, it was likely ghost written by Lee, so there's some nice moments, but it doesn't stand well together. New 52 Justice League doesn't get good until Forever Evil.
Red Son is fantastic, great alternative Superman without getting too edgy.
Batman Earth One is fun, seeing an idiotic Bruce Wayne stumble through being Batman with ex-soldier Alfred.

if i get tdkr should it be the new printing or the old tp?
>>84950387
i like most of this stuff but it needs Moore's swampthing, kirby's 4th world, original crisis, and atlantis chronicles (i know they got rid of it but it kicked ass)
>>84950387
>Aquaman vol. 1 on the same list as those masterpieces
Embarrassing
>>84951651
I'm not sure that it matters, unless there was a recoloring like The Killing Joke.
I've got a 1987 TPB, but that was just because it was cheap.
>>84951976
all redy got a ton of moore's run
Don't bother with Justice League vol. 1, Hush, Suicide Squad (get Ostrander's instead), or Injustice.
Wonder Woman doesn't really belong there (get Perez's instead) and Batman Earth One isn't anything special.
>>84950654
Because trades are usually collected by run, not by issue. Nobody wants to buy Superman vol. 127, especially since most of it will have anything to do with any of the other volumes.
New 52 has been a bit different because they're just publishing as they go along.
>>84950387
Skip Hush, Suicide Squad, Batman Earth One, and Injustice
Rest are good. Well, Hush is okay, but overrated as a "classic"
>>84950654
>What the fuck is Daytripper?
An overrated book, to be quite honest. I still have no idea why DC/Vertigo push it so hard -- I suppose it's because it was used in some college's curriculum, and thus it's as "important" as other literary graphic novels like Watchmen, TDKR, etc. It also sticks out like a sore thumb, since -- beyond a *little bit* of magic realism -- it is devoid of sci-fi/fantasy/cape stuff, compared to everything else on that list.
>>84950387
Starman and Hitman should be on this list but I guess that would involve those books still being in print.
>>84953089
Injustice is hilarious, but not "good".
I'm surprised that Starman isn't on that list, but maybe it is because Robinson left DC. I only liked the Shade and O'dare parts, but usually it is quite well regarded.
