True, normally I do consider the meta persepctive, which is why I call the theory that the geode beetles were defected crystal gems a headcanon, but I haven't dealt with the meta here.

We can be sure we'll see white diamond at some point, and she's going to be an important character eventually, but we haven't yet so it's hard to tell. When we do eventually meet her, she's going to have a bit of depth to her. If there's one thing the crew is good at it's giving their characters secrets that change how they're interpreted. Maybe White Diamond stays out of the public eye because she's really CZ, and can't move her gemstone to her head, and as a result she's basically under house arrest with no control over the empire
