Is it actually possible to animate a show in America and still make a profit?
If you know how to run a business, sure. The problem is "artists" think they deserve a lot of money. Go and show them otherwise

artists make dick, moron. it's the execs that steal all the money, sabotage the product, then blame everyone below them when it fails
only if you make dumb comedy for mouthbreathers and college studentsorsell toys or other bullshit for dumb children
Sure you can, you just need to do it on the internet.
Isn't that why flash was made?

yes
H1b visas for anime artists or assistants since local talent is trash

Flash was never made for animation, otherwise it wouldn't have coding in it
I AM cum. Do you fucking understand me?

Yeah, of course. Just use cheap shit animation. Time has told that nobody cares about animation or art, after all.

OVA and enhanced Bluray versions with better animations and art style make mad bank when it comes to anime in Japan though.

If you truly had the skills required you could make a shit ton. I mean Mike Inel makes generic looking anime fan animations and still makes close to 2K a month for pooping out youtube videos every once in a while. If you actually had super competent people with great skills whether 2D or 3D who made fan series of past shows like Teen Titans, Justice League, Gravity Falls Season 3, Young Justice Season 3, etc, they would make a shit ton of money.

Avatar: The One-Hundred Year War or Avatar Series 3.

Even muricans working in animation don't make a whole lot unless they're also shrewd businessmen (which is rare for artists) or are big names at studios like Disney/Pixar. It's certainly a more livable salary than nippon's slave wages, though.
