Does anyone feel like Wolverine is the most overrated character ever? He's been a member of practically every team in marvel at one point or another, even if it's multiple teams at once and makes no sense that he'd be apart of them. He's constantly making guest appearances in comics to try to make them more popular if the sales start dropping. He's in every single X-Men movie and cartoon even if they have to change the entire script to revolve around him (Days of Future Past).
Why is he so famous? What is it about a grumpy guy with claws do normies obsess about so much?
Wolverine has the best average Joe alter ego: Single hard working Americanadian. He works 9 to 5, goes to the pub for a few drinks, and minds his own business. It's the perfect man.

He's cool.

We've had this conversation in like 2007-2012 , fuck off and die please
You might just be the very first hipster to ever think Wolverine is over-rated, what a revolutionary idea.
We should make another character absurdly popular, to dethrone Wolverine. What about that guy that looks like Spider-Man, but makes jokes about how he knows he's in comics? Surely he's silly enough to never actually gain any attention and make this whole over-represented character business blow over.

There's a point where people think he's become so overrated that he circles back around and becomes underrated. That's what's happened to Wolverine.
Wolverine was one of the original notable anti-heroes, he has has great stories and when done right is the best anti-hero, making you question what being a "hero" means to begin with
So, what I have to say here is that OP doesn't read comics and also >>84817006

Not over-rated -- overexposed. Instead of limiting to X-Books and the occasional guest/cameo appearance, he started to pop up everywhere, got his own book, multiple minis, joined every team including Power Pack, and then they ripped all the mystery out of his background, and then ramped up the over exposure.
He was a decent character, once.

It's funny how true this is
X-23>Wolverine

Congratulations, you have made the dumbest statement on /co/ for the day.

Wolverine is great, look how terrible and tame Marvel has become since they shelved him.
X-Men and Avengers has been unreadable, ANW is so sanitized, it's like a Saturday morning cartoon, doofy kid sidekick, stupid animal mascot and no blood.
