Ah damn, I thought I was off but wasn't sure of who it was. Was thinking of when Daimon had a beard back in Aaron's Ghost Rider run.

Still, neither Master Pandemonium or Satanna are traditional Dr. Strange villains, certainly not in the same vein as Dormammu, Shuma-Gorath, Nightmare, or Mordo. They seem out of place here, especially since the leaked solicits indicate this is that start of an arc about Dormammu's return.

Pandemonium is more of a (West Coast) Avengers villain, but Aaron really likes the character. He even used him in Wolverine and the X-Men.

You're right, Mephista wears that skull thing on her body. I guess she's a stand-in for Mephisto, which means he's probably being used somewhere else? Maybe Slott is going to use him in Silver Surfer or something.

Mephista usually looked more monstrous, hooves, a tail, etc. And she didn't have a big set of horns. Satanna seems a safer guess.

Also, is Baron Mordo even still alive? I know he appeared after dying of cancer, but I've never heard an explanation for how, and I can't remember the last time he appeared was.

How the fuck will they even fight? All Aaron's Dr. Strange has done has been astral projection, flight, teleporting, and hitting things with a magically conjured axe/sword. Even when he had absorbed ALL THE MAGIC IN THE WORLD he just tried punching the badguy.

Is he just going to make Dormamu a big flaming-headed ogre who Dr. Strange fights with medieval weapons? Or is he finally going to go back to the grand scale magical battles of Classic Strange?
