I know everybody loves her know which is great, but has Filoni really got a leg to stand on when he mocks the initial fan reaction to her?
I mean, it's not really a case of the fans rejecting her because she was different and they came around to accepting her, the initial dislike was cause she was really annoying and obstructive, the reason she's a fan favorite now is because she got good.
It's not like it was anything clever that Filoni actually pulled off. People don't like shit things and they like good things. If shit thing turns into a good thing, people will go from disliking it to liking it, it's not a trick.
I love Ahsoka, but I've still got no desire to rewatch TCW movie, because it still sucks no matter how much I like the characters after their development.

Most of the times but not always. Remember REX survived hit in the chest. We've seen what blasters are capable of doing to Human flesh and how dangerous they are. Most of the time, blasters are not set to full power either. I seriously doubt Spartan armor and shields could withstand a blast from a DC-15 or B2 blaster cannon. Remember DC-15's blow apart Super Battle droids made of some of the toughest armor in the CIS.

-No Thrawn. The Fleet Admiral from the end of Aftermath is Gallius Rax, who is a very cruel man who was part of Palpatine's inner circle. He is purposefully manipulating the post-Palpatine situation to have Imperials who he thinks are not trustworthy or good enough killed (he's the Operator from Aftermath who was serving as an informant to the New Republic), hoping to purge the excess from the inelegant machine of the Empire to create something more focused (which obviously will later become the First Order). Sloane does not like him and thinks he has no honor. Mas Amedda is alive and helps Sloane investigate Rax.
-Rax, Palpatine, Amedda, and interestingly Yularen were trying to find something on Jakku. Palpatine once said that Jakku "was significant to the galaxy a thousand years ago, and will be significant again." We know that the Sith were thought to be destroyed 1000 years before TPM. Did the final battle take place on Jakku instead of Ruusan in the new continuity, or did perhaps Darth Bane go into hiding there? Is this why Lor San Tekka was on Jakku, since he was searching for Luke who himself had worked with Lor earlier to hunt for Force relics and knowledge? And what does this mean for Rey?
-There were 13 Super Star Destroyers, all of them now destroyed, taken over, or missing. The Annihilator, which was Tagge's personal SSD in the Vader comic, has been commandeered by pirates. Palpatine's personal SSD was the Eclipse (!!!) and what happened to it is unknown.
-General Hux's first name is...Armitage. He's the illegitimate son of Brendol Hux (which we already knew), the commandant of the Arkanis Academy from the Servants of the Empire books, who was responsible for coming up with the idea of breeding Stormtroopers.
-Some characters from other media appear, like Yendor from Lost Stars and Bloodline, and Evaan Verlaine from the Princess Leia comic.

Humans in Halo mostly use slugthrowers and conventional weapons. They still use antiquated 50 caliber weapons. An AT-ST or AT-RT would annihilate a Scorpion tank. Some Ewoks got some good shots in during the beginning. But it's pretty obvious Stormtroopers quickly got the upperhand. Did you forget the part where the Ewoks were retreating back into the woods? They could never actually stand a chance in strength at arms against what appeared to be a small company of Stormtroopers. The whole point of their surprise attack was a diversion and draw the the majority of the stationed imperial forces away from the shield generator.

Not really. It was all very loose and it didn't really know how to effectively use most of the characters it had. Kyle Katarn more or less got the shaft once the Jedi Knight games were over and done with and only got very brief appearances in the novels. Jaden Korr got a series of books where he fucking dies and his clone has to pick up from where he left off. Characters from as far back as the Old Republic get mentions by characters thousands of years later for trivial references or pointless plugs.

Outside of the big event novels, the EU mostly did what it wanted and bloated itself.

I don't like Star Wars anymore. I just can't bring myself to love it anymore.

It's nothing but a big, merchandised meme. No one watches the movies anymore; ask any Star Wars fan when the last time they watched the original movie and they'd probably say years.

And it's because we got all of this vapid merchandise crap flooding the market. Nobody watches the movies or actually enjoys star wars, we're too busy reading the comics, reading the books playing the video games and board games, discussing fan theories about characters who got like five fucking seconds of screen time in the stupid fucking tv show.

For example, I baby-sat my nephew the other day and he wanted to watch star wars. Awesome. But he goes straight for the fucking prequels.

We turn it on, part way through that painfully boring intro of them escaping the Trade Federation ship, he ask:

This is the fucking problem. It's nothing but a product and has been since the 90s when the popularity of the franchise died; subsisting on the life support of video games and shitty EU novels. I swear it's turning my nephew daft. He is always like:

Star Wars no longer has a theme. It no longer has a story. It's nothing but fan service. It's trash.

They seal off the entrances from major hyperspace routes. If you want to block Planet A from invading ships, you put a fucking federation ship right in front of where the hyperspace road ends. That's because the only place that the invaders can even come from is Planet B on a direct hyperspace route. However, the invaders could manage to block it by taking several other hyperspace routes that would allow them to bypass the blockade from Planet C. Naturally, the blockade-makers will put ships at every conceivable entrance in order to stop the invaders. The invading ships can't go around because if they tried to, they wouldn't be able to safely land. To do that, you would have to get very close to the blockade ships and that would get you shot down.

Probably incorrect on a lot of these things, but that's how I've come to understand it
