Reading Axis I've decided Remender is officially worse at

Well, Bendis being shitty at dialoues isn't why we hate him. It's why we mock him. We hate him for mis-characterisation and plots never going anywhere.

While this page might be more cringeworthy than a page of Bendis' "back-and-forth" (which can't be offensive, as basically nothing happens) at least it's over in a page and the plot advances. Axis with it's 9 insane issues and "inverting" the characters, stayed more true to the characters, had more plot and was more cohesive than 6 years of Bendis' New Avengers.

My only gripe is when everyone is in on the same joke. Some of it was pretty cringey and having 2-3 characters doing that is unbearable. It's even weirder when the villains did it.

Remender's dialogue is usually really good. He just sucks at quips and his jokes are fucking bad.

Axis was his worst work, though. He wasn't usually that bad but he was going through a period where he wanted to have "funny" dialogue.

He's not a great dialogue writer but he's not usually that bad.
