What's /co/'s opinion on this show? The first season is free on Crackle and I was thinking about watching it to try to forget about the upcoming reboot aka Ballbusters.

legit an excellent addition to the GB mythos. also the diversity casting surprisingly manages to make the show better
Look how much porn it produced. A show with so much fap material must be good!
>>84304737
It is not even remotely as politically correct as people make it out to be.
>Female character is wrong as often as the men and undergoes as many physical pratfalls as the men
>Mexican character is laziest, stupidest, most unhygienic member of the team and not a good role model
>The handicapped guy is the butt of a LOT of jokes about his handicap, but the way he reacts to them in stride (or makes them himself) is what's so cool about him
>The black guy is Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel Air. 100% in both VA and personality
People ignored it back in the day because of the stupid title and the "diverse" cast, but it's actually as un-PC as it gets. The characters are all great, the plots are SUPER FUCKIN DARK and the two-part series finale where the Extreme Ghostbusters team up with the Real Ghostbusters to stop a sentient Bermuda Triangle that's eating New York is the fuckin tits.
Animation quality is kinda listless and the aesthetic is really drab, but otherwise it's a great show and worthy sequel to Real Ghostbusters.
I really like it!
Wish I had more of the toys...
I still like the theme song.

good waifu
You can argue about the quality about the writing, characters, etc. of the show, but the ghost designs are unquestionably awesome. The show delves into some darker-than-you'd-expect territory, too. So if that's your thing, another reason too watch it.
But the main reasons are the ghosts, and, of course, Kylie.
>>84304737
I liked it
I'd be more accepting of the new movie if one of them was Kylie
>>84304847
Thinks that are better than the new movie
>Can't just say everything, be more creative than that.

There's an episode of The Real Ghostbusters called "Knock Knock." construction workers digging a new subway tunnel accidentally stumble across an ancient temple deep under the island of Manhattan.
At first they plan to simply blast it out of the way when the figurehead on the door calls out, "DO NOT OPEN, UNTIL DOOMSDAY"
Turns out the door is intended to replace the current Earth after an unknown Armageddon with its contents. The Ghostbusters make their way past the door, to the heart of the chaos and risk eternal imprisonment behind the door as the blast the titanic pulsating core of the spiritual hurricane of the century.
That's a fucking season one episode.
There was some kind of Ghostbusters Manga compilation book

Hm. You know how most Japanese see black people as semi-mythical folks from across the sea, and thus tend to subconsciously exaggerate features? It's kinda fascinating how manga Winston here looks so... normal. He's totally just some normal looking dude and not a weird caricature.
>>84304737
Very good.
Its what the new Ghostbusters should have been. But with Ray instead of Egon obviously.
>Godzilla the animated series
>MIB the animated series
>Extreme Ghostbusters
I wish they came back
>>84308491
Japan is getting more and more interested in basketball, so black people are seen more and more on TV.
>>84308348
What's with the artwork? Why is it cartoonish instead of realistic?
>>84308275
>Ghostbusters Manga
>>84308491
>>84308647
Pretty sure it was one of those Ameri-manga books done by US creators for Tokyopop.
>>84308698
I believe it was done by Tokyopop, but Ghostbusters has inspired at least a few things over in Japan.
>>84308664
Right?
Fuck style. I want realism.
>>84309009
I like that car.
everything else, not so much.
>>84309012
Terminator comics should always use realistic artwork, never cartoonish. GHOSTBUSTERS seems weeird when it's ultra cartoonish. Hell, even The Real Ghostbusters was realistic for the human characters.
>>84308698
Oh! Well then I learned something to day.
>>84308664
The characters are fair game but there are probably issues to do with licensing the exact likenesses of the actors. I can imagine Bill Murray getting stroppy about that sort of thing.
>>84309012
Like this cover?
>>84304737
Remind me, is Zone making a flash of this or did he only do the drawings?
Just rewatched the first two seasons of the real Ghostbusters, was Janine always this lewd or am I only just projecting it onto her now?
>>84304847
>mfw it turns out it is Carlton from Fresh Prince.
>>84308664
So why didn't Dana ever appear in the Real Ghostbusters?
>>84308288
this looks like a fun read and already 1000% better than that new movie next week.
>>84309179
Yup.
>>84309206
One Piece is boring shit.
>>84309304
>>84309355
Yeah it was cartoonish but not overly so.
>>84309630
>One Piece is boring
As typical of a tripfag you contribute nothing and didn't answer my question. I wasn't aware I have to like a show to use images from it.
>>84304737
I liked it more than the Real Ghostbusters cartoon
>>84309746
The titties are fine.
>>84309829
this, oda knows how to tiddies and doesn't give a fuck about what anyone else thinks.
>>84304737
Its really good. Solid sequel material
>>84308275
>There was some kind of Ghostbusters Manga compilation book
It wasn't "real" manga. It was made by white people but trying to draw "manga style".
Here's a review:
http://www.adventuresinpoortaste.com/2012/08/17/ghostbusters-ghost-busted-review/
Apparently, the story involves the Mayor's Aid from Ghostbusters II getting revenge on the Ghostbusters by recruiting an army of Peoplebusters (ghosts with human-trapping gear) to take them down.
Sounds kinda shit. looks REALLY shit.
>>84305483
>>84305517
Was it Jim Cummings who sang it?
>>84304847
>Extreme Ghostbusters team up with the Real Ghostbusters to stop a sentient Bermuda Triangle that's eating New York
that shit was great
>>84309232
Janine has been canonically in it for dick since the movies.
>>84304737
I wish it got a live-action movie
>>84309498
There's an episode where they explain that the movie was loosely based on the Real Ghostbusters universe's Gozer encounter, using big-name Hollywood stars.
