They matter a lot, in comics and manga if the covers good enough id give it a look

I've picked books up because of good/cool covers, although I have never been deterred by a bad cover

I really loved the movie poster variants DC did last year

I'm a sucker for great covers. The Marvel Hip Hop ones are some of my favorites, but any variant that presents a different/oddball view of what's coming up is good in my book.

Hell, I bought both volumes of Polar based off nothing more than the covers and the stuff on the back.
