People circlejerk Morrison's run, but it's only good for Flex, the second Dada arc, and the big Candlemaker/Niles Caulder's endgame finale.
Anything Morrison has ever done is better than the rest of his DP run.

Pollack's run, in comparison to Morrison's, is severely underrated, and also uncollected the last time I checked, so you'll have to download it.
BUT art gets super-wonky at the end, and that will likely put you off.

We don't know how prominent Jane will be, and it's pretty clear it's the new girl that'll matter more. Way's following the tradition, although to be fair if he gave Jane a role there should be a Coagula cameo too at the very least. Absolutely nothing, and that's the best part. If you shuffle her into the JSA she becomes another "Oh old farts from the 40's" character. If you revamp Freedom Fighters you're just setting them up as the sacrificial beast for the next event once sales start to dip.
If you put her on Doom Patrol she can redefine herself and finally get a story where she's realized as a fully dimensional character. The Sandra, Dee, and Stormy versions are all characters who would be incredibly out of place and awkward on a team and it would be so satisfying to see them adapt to a new, modern team also full of misunderstood and lonely outcasts.

Phantom Lady has to most potential for being the new hit thing in DC's roster, think Gwenpool and Squirrel Girl scale but with a pinch of Liz Sherman and Batman in her character personality.

Jane was broken and Robotman was depressed because he didn't feel like a man anymore. Jane desperaetely tried to fit in somehwere, anywhere in thsi world while Cliff took on a more "fatehr" type role and tryied to protect everyone. In the end Jane finds a place she can fit in and Cliff lets go of all his insecurities and realizes that he's never stopped being a man, a good man. They seem to be a couple in the end.

Pollack is relatively good but much more monotonous than these two, and a lot of new characters she introduced - especially the Bandage People - sucks.
Giffen is harmless fun but like someone already brought up he didn't really know how to write one of the arguably best villains from Morrison's run, which for many is a significant downside.

Avoid the Byrne run. Kupperberg and Arcudi are forgettable. Johns' New 52 Patrol is like a bootleg Suicide Squad and not really worth caring about too. Last but not least, don't watch the Doom Patrol arc in the Teen Titans cartoon, it was quite likely the worst take on the team in anything yet, not counting Byrne's run.

Phantom Lady has an almost comical cycle of death and rebirth and has appeared in multiple books by different publishers which range from depicting her as an ace investigator to team pussy who always needs to be rescued. She's a character whom creators are constantly revisiting and her semi-public domain nature actually lends her a kind of cruel immortality.

Captain Atom had an issue where we see Gaiman's Death, Black Racer, and Black Flash (or Nekron, I can't remember) and it was said in that issue that they were all different aspects of Death (Gaiman Death was suppose to represent Death as a sweet release or something) Neil didn’t like that because his Death was the one true Death period and then everyone else just ignored the Cap Atom issue.
