This issue is the best thing Waid ever did and the best single Flash story ever.
EVERYONE GET IN HERE AND READ THIS IT'S THE BEST FLASH COMIC EVER MADE.
god damn Ringo
RIP ;-;
>>83747417
panels 3 and 4 are a good showing of why i love Wally and why he's the best.
and did the "mystery man" show up in other issues? i feel like it also happened in that Krakkl race but I think i'm confusing flashbacks
This is an absolute fucking masterpiece.
>>83747520
Have you read this issue before?
>>83747552
yeah. i didn't wanna spoil it
>>83747671
>>83747633
>>83747652
no you're teary eyed
I love Return of Barry Allen as much as the next guy, but Terminal Velocity always holds a special place in my heart.
>>83747884I know it's not a super popular story but I've always been a huge fan of the Dark Flash Saga myself
>>83747926
I mean, really, it's all good shit.
>>83747960
Some people are not so fond of Chain Lightning but I like it
>>83747989
I think I like Chain Lightning's ambition more than the story which makes me rate it highly
>>83747989
Waid's not perfect, but I think having a consistently solid run is more than we usually get.
>>83747989
Everything about Chain Lightning that isn't BARRY'S UNKNOWN EVIL TWIN BROTHER is great. The sprawling Flash universe and Wally trying to fix everything is good shit. It's just spurned on by a shitty villain with an eye rolling motivation.
Yo OP, instead of posting all those links to desustorage you could just post this one:
http://desustorage.org/co/search/username/fastest%20anon%20alive/type/op/
Bet it will save you some time.
Thanks for storytiming by the way, I'm still at part 15, but it's been great .In Wally we trust.
>>83748224
Yeah, good idea, I'll have to remember to do that next time
so do you know what story you'll have wednesday when Titans hits?
>>83748372
Underworld Unleashed
>>83748447
That's a shame.
>>83748463
It is what it is, man. Sorry.
>>83748447
>>83748463
that's gotWally and Linda selling their love to the devil but it's so good and pure he rejects itright? love that so much. and in a post one more day world it's even better
>>83747707
>passing through the nu52 speedster lightning storm
>>83748422
Ha ha!
Time for Flash Family.
>>83750021
love this cover
>>83747547
This may be Waid's best Flash story. Its definitely the only good thing to come out of Zero Hour.
>>83751082
>Its definitely the only good thing to come out of Zero Hour.
LoSH reboot was good and particularly needed at that point
>>83747082
Zero Hour was a mess, but it gets better from there, as I recall.
>>83747989
How can people hate a story that gave us all these speedsters?
>>83749035
Ah, Lady Flash Black Mambazzo 2, you were a decent concept, and one not so arbitrarily ditched as Christina Flash.
Although Christina turning into a Cultist for Hire was a funny idea.
>>83747082
Nice
bump for best storytime
Alright, sorry for the wait, I had an unexpected visit
Let's finish this
>>83758438
It's all good, man.
We had faith in you.
Flash Fact.
>>83758527
Linda ;-;
>>83758501
Max Mercury is so fucking based.
I'm even reading his Quicksilver stories from National Comics. Having not read any Golden Age except Plastic Man and Captain Marvel, I've got to say that although a bit simple, the stories are enjoyable. Nick Cardy's art is pretty good too, and even Jack Cole writes and draws some of them. Shame that some of the scans are only fiches and they look blurry and washed out.
>>83758550
Well damn, thanks for the vote of confidence, man
Thassit for today, more tomorrow
Best Flash run.
>>83751612
Honestly I don't know anything about the LoSH.
They've had so many reboots that its pretty much impossible to even jump in anywhere
>>83758921
>literal minded people mad someone came back from the speed force after we said no one has come back from the speed force
honestly if Waid's losing his touch lately or anything I'd blame it on him dealing with comic fans for decade.
>>83762872
they've only had 3 : (
and both are fine starts.
>>83762872
Nah man, it's not that complicated. You just start were one of the big writers start writing. For example, when Levitz's, DnA's, or Johns's run begin.
>>83763186
Or Waid.
Archie Legion was designed to be a counter to the convolutions that Post-Crisis and 5YL brought to the book and ended up taking it from like DC's number 2 book to an also-ran.
>>83762917
Waid is an absolute irredeemable bastard and a hack and he always was. Flash and Kingdom Come are his only two truly GREAT comics, which puts him just one ahead of JMS (hardly an elite class to be in).
Read his X-Men. Read his Crossgen bullshit. Read his Hulk. He ALWAYS sucked. His few decent works were a fluke, nothing more.
WE SPEED FORCE NOW. Volume 1 was my favorite part of this run but it brought the SPEED FORCE and good Flash senpai stuff.
>>83758822
>>83758839
What a great ending
>>83747082
>tfw you still own this floppy
Fuck yeah
>>83747082
>that cover
>>83764907
I have the trade but it's on shitty 90s trade paper so I'm glad they're reprinting it
>>83758527
This is 90s as hell but I love it.
>>83758643
Arguably the best Flash sequence ever right here. Flash #100 is by far my all time favorite single Flash issue.
>>83764120
Nah. His Marvel stuff is mostly lifeless with glints of magic in there, I agree, but the vast majority of his DC work was good to great.
Ignoring Flash and Kingdom Come which you mentioned, Impulse was great. His JLA was awesome (if only slightly underwhelming from having to follow Morrison's run), JLA Year One is up there with Morrison's for best JLA ever written, and his Brave and The Bold Mini was similarly excellent.
Also obviously Birthright and 52 are great.
His DC work was all around top class. The dude churned out gold for nearly 2 decades, which is saying a lot. Sure you've got your shitty stuff like Underworld Unleashed or some of his Legion work (a lot of which was good, but was definitely his most inconsistent title to work on) but that's still a pretty top tier record as a writer.
>>83768218
I'd go with the bedroom scene in #0 personally or possibly the whole time freeze sequence in #91.
>>83768337
>Birthright
Shit. Has nothing to do with Superman. Waid was writing himself as an insert in the story. Fucking garbage.
And to think that I've read it year ago.
The thing is, beside Batman being replaced by Jean Paul, Reign of Supermen, Wondie replaced by that Amazonian, GL replaced by Kyle, and this, was there anyone else too?
>>83770955
Starman
>>83749285
Who's gonna notice?
only every farmer in the area.
