I can't speak for that poorly executed short series but I like the mentor ship role she took on with Miles, Bombshell and Clock and Dagger. Her being an agent with connections helped give her some influence and knowledge.

Beyond that I guess they could have tried some sort of duo comic series with Kitty with both of them taking on secret missions for Shield or something, if they wanted Jess to do her own thing. Killing her is such a waste, especially with Miles acting like everyone in the universe he's always known hadn't gotten killed.

When she originally appeared in Miles' run she was very disapproving of his Spider-manning. I guess I would've preferred they explore that more before she came around to Miles or after she came around to Miles she be more a mentor. Ultimately I guess I just wish she played more a role period rather than showing up once every few issues or be mentioned as out of town on SHIELD business while something that would be more interesting with her input happens. I mean BOTH times a Peter was in the neighborhood she was mysteriously gone.
