I'm definitely gonna buy it, the movie was so great, they need all the help they can get. Ankama managed to nail a cinema film actually feeling cinematic. On their first try.

If Indie Sales hasn't said anything after all this time, I don't think we'll get an official translation anytime soon, and even if we do, we run the risk of it being on par with the Wakfu dub. I know I'll be getting the French release, especially since it comes with the OST and that sweet looking card deck.

Just finished watching it, I'm not sure whether I'd put it above Wakfu S1, but it's definitely on par. Act 3 being somewhat predictable and tonally inconsistent definitely dragged it down a bit.

I'd just recommend watching the Dofus Series before the Dofus Movie (or at least the first few episodes to learn about the characters), and watching everything before the Wakfu OAVs since character from both series appear in it.

The final third felt a little too drawn out, like they were stretching for time, and there was a little too much tonal inconsistency but other than that, I absolutely adored it.
The movie was gorgeous, Ankama really know how to handle the big screen. I think I probably would have struggled with it had I not already been a Dofus fan but the new characters and lore they introduce is done well.
I like how they tied up the Keke and Atcham stuff. The explanation behind Joris works. The new characters and the old gel really well.
It really makes me want a sequel or another season of Dofus... At least we're getting more Wakfu.

It was unexpected to see it happen like that, a nice dramatic and sad element in the middle of everything else. Also, baby Atsham is in Joris's future as well.

Just watched it and damn I loved it.
I thought Lilotte would be a no brainer for Best Girl, but Bakara is a damn strong contender too, so I really can't decide.

We see family life in Dofus MMO mode during the end credits. It's Joris, Lilotte, baby Kerub and Luis, with Joris now operating all the traps and devices and hiding the two Dofus in the treasure basement. I assume since Luis can help hand them stuff and Kerub taught Joris to mind the store, they're gonna survive for a good while. Especially with all that treasure Kerub stacked over the years. By the Remington comics, Joris is still living in the same house, so he must have done fine. He had to grow a lot during the course of this film, after all. Plus, all of Kerub's stories over the years must have taught him a lot of skills.

I watched the movie last night. I didn't really like how they made the climax so damn goofy, up to and including how they decided to implement their beloved boufball sport into it. After (and during) all of the death and destruction shown, it just felt distasteful.

Otherwise the film as 10/10 Ankama. The fights were expecially amazing.

Well, I just watched the movie. And I gotta say that ending was REALLY sudden. Surely they could have had an epilogue.

You know, everyone settling back into their lives, the house repaired, Joris raising Kerubim, atcham coming back (since we know he does), etc.

Something at least.

Also did the black dragon possess Joris at the ending? His eyes were black again, but the dofus was in one piece. And I assume the dragon is what keeps him alive for 1000 years since he was just a normal baby.

Though Im not sure that explains why hes still a manlet years later. Hes apparently going through puberty, so its not like hes an eternal baby.

I kind of take offense to that. /co/ has never shown all that much interest in scanlation releases and the work certainly didn't happen on /co/. Comics are also rarely discussed other than people asking if they're any good. To say that "us" doing scanlations was part of a golden age of Wakfu threads feels out of place and cheap towards those who actually made them.

There was some healthy activity around the time of the Kickstarter and then around the OVAs' release, but other than that it's been a series of aimless threads that devolved into waifu wars and creeps saying how much they want to fuck the little boys. The past couple months, threads have been few and far between, which is a blessing, as sad as that is to say.

The golden age ended with Wakfu season 2 and if it ever returns it won't be until season 3 is about to air.

Lilotte confuses me.

She's designed exactly like Indie's granddaughter in episode 47. Note the clothes and bell.

But in the movie, there's no mention at all of her relationship to Indie or having heard stories about Kerub and Indie's adventures. Her and Joris making up stories about their unknown parents suggests that she's always been an orphan/stray.

Is she a completely new character and they just adapted the grandaughter's visual design? Or is she meant to be the granddaughter and they're hiding her backstory?

Anybody have any idea how many lives Kerub has left? I thought the dice necklace might be a clue but it's usually shown so the sum is 3, both in the movie and the series
