Ultimate Marvel Interlude: Supreme Power Storytime
>What's being storytimed?
The Squadron Supreme is a fictional superhero team that appears in publications under the mature-audience MAX imprint by Marvel Comics. The team first appears in Supreme Power #1 (Jan. 2003) and was created by writer J. Michael Straczynski and artist Gary Frank. The series Supreme Power features the rebooted version of the superhero team Squadron Supreme and is set on Earth-31916
>Why are you doing this?
Because I thought it would be fun to pause Ultimates before Ultimate Power to see what was going on on the other side of the crossover.
>Where can I catch up?

Sorry for the scans, it's all I have
I'm really excited to get to the Nighthawk mini.

And I thought Ultimate was edgy

There's a reason a crossover made sense

I'm not ready for reading again how this end.
JMS, I miss you. Please, come back.
>>83314298what ending?
>>83313912
Glad you're doing Supreme Power since it's basically Ultimate Squadron Supreme.

>Batman origin, this time in colour

Bump
>>83314778
This reminds me, is the Nighthawk in the current series still incredibly racist?

Thanks

He acts like preemptive batman that fights multicoloured aliens, so he's a bit "of character" compared to MAX version. De facto leader of the group while Hyperion is road trucking around.
The last issue ended with a fight to the death between MAXhawk and the original marvel nighthawk though....
Thinking of how these guys all jobbed so fatally during Doomworlds still pisses me off.

Thanks
>>83316196
So he's no longer racist then? Lame.

>So he's no longer racist then? Lame.
He hasn't shown many signs of it, sadly.
>>83316363
booooo I knew NuMarvel would chicken out
>>83316406
This is more hilarious then it should be. I'm saving this page.
>>83316575
Also, there's a hanged african american in outer space...
>>83316196
Have you read his solo ongoing? He's still pretty clearly a bit of a black supremacist. The first villain is a serial killer that goes around brutally murdering white people that take advantage of minorities, and Nighthawk's response is "well, I hate his methods, but I respect his targeting criteria."
>>83316363
>>83316260
Not in the team book. He saves that for his solo adventures where he's basically #BLM-Punisher.
>>83316653
>>83316748
From the interview I read it sounded more like he was just going to be fighting against racism in the solo book rather than being "death to whitey" himself.
>>83316795
Yeah, he's still more toned down than he is here, but I just chalked that up to character growth making him a bit less racist.
>>83316748
I was kinda happy that (at least so far) the new nighthawk comic has been radical without being SJW.
Unfortunately, it's also kind of dour and joyless.
Yo OP how long is this series. I had no idea it existed.

Shame they never followed through with this. A supremeverse version of General Zodd would be cool
