So, Megas or Protomen?
>>
What is the best song, and why is it "Father of Death"?
>>
>>83174119
Protomen, easily.

I actually thing The Megas are boardering on cringe with their music.
>>
>>83174285

Of Act II maybe, sons of fate is still the most emotional shit.
>>
The Protomen are pretty boss live. Can't wait for Act 3.
The show I saw there was an... interesting opening band. One guy sat there speedrunning Megaman on a projector and the band was playing along. It was kinda funny, they never got more then about 5 or 7 seconds of any boss theme before the player beat them.

Megas for playlist-on-shuffle character driven songs, Protomen for listen-in-one-go epic rocking plot driven albums.
25th Anniversary version of Quick and the Blue is the superior song, though.
>>
>>83174119
I really like Megas more, if only because they do songs involving the Robot Masters.

They were my favorite part of Mega Man anyway.

I've seen them three times in Richmond so far, but they haven't done the full rock opera down here yet. Do I need to suck it up and finally hit PAX East to see it, or just wait more? They hit Virginia about once every two years.

>"Destroy him!"
>"You can save us!"
>"Destroy him!"
>"You are our hope!"
>"STOP!"
>"Kill Protoman!"
It may not have been intentional but it's still the most emotional part of the album.
>>
What kind of man builds a machine to kill a girl?
>>
>>83174285
I'm personally fond of The Good Doctor, with its high noon showdown guitars and the constantly building menace. The damage is already done, the good doctor just hasn't realised it yet.

We've got like, two songs from it? Or just one? I know Built to Last, and I'm pretty sure there's a Gambler-centric one...
>>
>>83178240
Built to Last was a 25th anniversary thing. Here's the Act 3 stuff they've released so far:

Seen them a couple times, last time a month or so ago, always a good time. The opening band bit brigade was a lot better than I thought it would be. Other opening band math the band sucked donkey dick.
>>
>>83178503

Only thing that was irritating was the one really high dude who tried to mosh during every song. I mean, it's a show, but there no need to mosh during in the air tonight.
>>
>>83174285
that's a funny way of saying The Good Doctor

I'm sorry, you appear to have misspelled Light Up the Night.

>>
>>83178444

I know grim darkness is their shtick but given how absurdly tragic the first two have been I think their first album needs to end on a hopeful note, even if it's a horribly slight one...like, Wily will destroy the world, most of humanity will be dead, but maybe whoever's left will prove to Rock that there is indeed hope for man.
