Well, I was right. This comic was pretty bad. Overly dense narration with all the depth of a puddle. Simplistic plot dumping with ineffectual misdirection. Three Jokers.
Still, I get why others liked it, and when Barry pulled Wally back into existence I teared up.
But here's my question for all you continuity cucks: why do we need a juvenile metacriticism of Watchmen's effect on the industry (and the DCU in particular) when they could just stop fucking writing this way? Why can't they just ignore this fart-sniffing insular, incestuous bullshit and tell the Superman stories they think are most needed, rather than waste six issues on what's ultimately an edit to canon by killing N52 Supes?
In more capable hands, this could maybe be a proper exorcism but in Johns', it's just whining.
