The point of her turning evil was to show how much SpOck's decisions, even the smallest ones, completely changed Peter's life. There were huge impacts (Anna Maria, Parker Industries, and basically every major story arc), but the tiny choices made drastically changed Peter's life. Butterfly effect, blah, blah, blah.

In what was the average night for SpOck (see criminal, fight criminal, arrest criminal, swing away, repeat) was a life-defining moment for Black Cat. SpOck beat up a generic criminal, but Felicia was betrayed and arrested by a good friend. She lost everything and wanted revenge.

And here's the kicker. Even after Spider-Man told her that it was Doc Ock and not him and even though it all made sense, Black Cat STILL wanted revenge because reasons.

I so hate Slottified Black Cat. I want her to be a Skrull and the real Black Cat showing up just to beat the shit out of her. This is horrible character development. Just horrible.

just by reading some sporadic storytimes and discussions in /co/ I knew I'd hate the comics or this Slott dude, hence why I've stayed well away from anything from Spiderman, but OPs title was too tempting.
The only teamup I've liked so far was the first Spiderman/Red Sonja one.

The design is so good especially for modern times where the classic domino mask wouldn't be able to hide one's identity sufficiently. I'm glad they kept the lenses and just changed the color to blue when they brought her back with a new costume.

This old version was probably inspired by Catwoman's goggles, and they look a lot similar to The Batman's Catwoman (which is a whole other debate kek).

on the other hand, Silk's writer is making the most of it. Most of her efforts up until the issue before Spider-Women were devoted to turf war against Goblin Nation, who none of the capes even knew still existed. She steals Parker tech all the time, but hasn't known that Peter=Spidey since OMIT so as far as she's concerned she's just stealing stuff being shipped to SHIELD (which Maria Hill has been running like the USA is a police state)

what happens next I have no idea since the most recent issue of Silk in Spider-Gwen had Silk decide 'fuck all this double agent crap, at least Black Cat shows me some respect' and told Black Cat she would help her break into the Avenger's vault where they keep the really weird stuff. but at the same time that might have only happened because there's an evil alternate universe Silk from Spider-Gwen's world running around and there might be some weird mental contamination going on there because Silk's spider-sense follows different rules to everyone else's and it's possible that's causing the two Silk's to synchronize their brains or some such comic books

I mean, I don't MIND her as a villain, it opens her up to a few really intresting story ideas, bit I feel like she was made into a baddie just so that Miles would have someone to go against in 616. Like all of Slott's ideas, it's better handled by someone else, even Bendis. In Miles run I think it's funny that she put a hit out on him just for calling himself Spider-Man, and in the Silk ongoing she's handled as a better grey area kind of villain. I'd rather her be Spidey's on again off again sidekick / lover, but for now I'm okay with this.
