Yes and no. There are episodes that could be considered one-off and doesn't relate to anything and then there's plot and lore heavy episodes that slam a lot of shit in your face.

Tell me true, /co/. Do the writers of Adventure Time hate Finn?

I don't come here often and I have only paid attention to this show peripherally, but it seems to me that Finn keeps getting the short end of the stick a lot and that the episodes are more about the people he's around rather than on him, that is if they even bother putting him into the episode. Hell, even Fiona is getting more attention from the writers these days. Im getting the distinct impression that if the show hadn't been focused on him at the start he would be just another background character at this point.

I think he means effort put into the episodes rather than the quantity of episodes being produced.

Since Finn is the main character, he can pretty much be a blank slate for whatever message writer needs across. It comes off as strange when what happens to him at the end of the last episode is neglected and sometimes outright ignored the start of the next. A recent example being him in a semi-coma after killing himself in I Am A Sword, then acting as if nothing happened the next episode. It could be because Finn is a guy who shrugs off/doesn't show his deeper, inner emotions (except for romances), but they never expand on it.

Perfect opportunities to have the audience sympathize with Finn, such as his reaction to his real parents in an alternate universe at the end of "Crossover "and what should have been the beginning of "The Tower" with people being told that the Champion of Ooo just lost his fucking arm are skipped over. I guess all the feelz are reserved only for Marceline and company? pisses me off.

What was the worst part of "Elemental" for you guys?

I couldn't stand how unsure and panicy the new girl was talking constantly, but that doesn't make me hate the episode.
