Something people tend to forget about when they call Daria a bitch was that ALL of the kids at school thought they were better than Daria because they were more popular/better looking, and others thought there was something wrong with her for being so antisocial.

Sure, people like Brittany and Kevin were friendly to her, but they still thought of themselves as better than her because they weren't BRAINS.

She's been shown to care about her family multiple times. The box episode had her feeling bad for thinking that she caused her parents a lot of problems and caused them to fight.

There was another episode where she wrote a story about how all of them were all on great terms with each other far into the future. Those are just two examples.

Plus, Quinn was the one going around denying the fact that they were related. Daria and everyone else just rolled with it to make her feel better about it. She's supported her multiple times despite that

It would have been better if it hadn't seemed so rushed. I liked seeing her in an awkward position at the end of season 4 but then in the movie they sort of just glossed over her getting together with Tom and it was just "yeah they're kind of a thing now". I would have liked to see her struggle with it a bit more but we didn't.
