Honestly, I think its the best movie in the MCU.

But:
1. Allusions to the Baron part of Baron Zemo. I don't need the purple mask, but having him be just some Ops guy from Sokovia is kinda weird. He's still probably the best MCU villain though.
2. Cap gives the "No you move" speech to Spidey. It makes no sense to me that we have a movie with both Cap & Spidey and Sharon Carter says it at a funeral.
3. A few more minutes with Scott Lang. I know, it's not his movie, but he seems the most fucked over by the events and he's just kinda thrown into the movie.
4. Vision actually doing stuff during the airport fight. Seriously, go to /wsg/, watch the whole fight. He does pretty much nothing. Even a few shots of a "rematch" between him and Wanda would have been enough for me.
5. Peter being somewhat suspicious of Tony's motives after the fight. He's a kid that loves Stark, so I'm cool with what they did, but I dunno... Peter switching sides is such a huge thing in the comic story, which admittedly isn't a very good story, that I was hoping to see that.

Also, I kinda would have liked to see Cap's rogue Avengers still doing Avenging on like a C-list villain like Grey Gargoyle or Serpent Society, but whatever. That's all stuff thats going to be addressed soon anyway.

I generally loved how different the movie was from the comics, since it felt new and fresh with its own tone. This really bugged me though. Spider-Man's identity being secret is pretty important, and I get that they didn't have time to develop him on his own, but Tony just showing up and knowing who he is wasn't great. (Also them just going through bullet points of "what a Spider-Man is" was awkward)

I'm gonna take what I think is a dissenting opinion, and say I didn't like the revenge plot.

Specifically, how the entire plot ended up being Zemo's grief over dead family.

It has it's good parts, I'll admit: Him being a simple villian with a personal desire, who manages to do what other villians with robot armies failed to do.

But, much like in Spectre, having the main villian behind the world-changing plot talk about his personal issues shrinks the action down from "global" to "interpersonal"- and that's not a change I generally enjoy.

So I'd keep the parts about the new winter soldier team, make it so that the problems with Bucky keep compounding (Aide and abet a terrorist leads to fighting near civilians and property damage, leads to...) so that there's a reason the team can't come together at the end.

Keep the split team and have a new enemy to explore in the coming movies.

The only thing I'd change is making sure there's a scene that implies that Zemo is physically formidable despite his humble appearance. A reference to swordsmanship, or he blocks a flying punch from Falcon while escaping from the Winter Soldier breakout or something.

I'd prefer the transition to full Baron Zemo to be foreshadowed more heavily, as it is now Civil War has done little to imply that Zemo is the kind of guy that could go toe-to-toe with Steve Rogers and hold his own in a fight, even for just a little while.

Have Ross quickly mention the Inhuman situation, and better explain how the Accords will effect Enhanced individuals that aren't affiliated with The Avengers.

Crossbones surviving. Keep the suicide bomber thing but just have it be one of his lackeys, and either have Crossbones get captured or escape during the confusion.

Show some of the other criminals being kept on The Raft. It could serve as both a cool easter egg if they used recognizable supervillains, as well as show just how much Cap's team doesn't belong there.

MISTAKES INTO MIRACLES

Take away/lessem that horrible filter or CGI they put in during the hand to hand fight scenes. I know it's there to make it look like they're moving very fast but the amount the use it is awful.

Take away most the quips during fight scenes.

Have Tony rip apart Steve's letter and throw the phone .

And that's all I think really needs changing.

Marvel needs to utilize the One-Shot engine more. Maybe have two kinds of One Shot. The world building ones we have now and then Avengers One Shots where we follow an Avenger or two on a mission or dicking around somehow.
