Everyone mourns for a while, but Jaune goes down the path of maximum edge long after everyone else moves on, and becomes the single most insufferable character in the show. The joy is quickly sucked out of the show and all that's left is bleak sadness.

It's not some big special deal, or some unique circumstances thing that can't be easily replicated. It's a gonna be a poof! Here's Pyrrha! scenario where her resurrection is just glossed over briefly. Probably with some cop out "A Thozpin did it" reason, like he saved her at the last minute and the execution Ruby saw was all an Illusion created by Ozpin to trigger her eyes because ANTI-KEIKKAKU AMIRITE, and she's had to live in the shadows with him so everyone thinks they're both dead or whatever.

Or even worse, time travel. Just...Don't.
If they bring her back, I'd rather they bring her back with the fucking dragon balls than do time travel shenanigans.

Well Jaune did but I fear that's all out of the window now.

Ruby's been pretty good but she's been static thus far.

Blake's learned the same lesson every season and it still hasn't stuck.

And Yang was static for 1 and 2 and then got negative development.

Where as Weiss learned to respect Ruby and it stuck. And then learned to get over herself and her predjuices and it stuck. Quite surprising honestly.

With time travel, they can just go back and pluck Pyrrha out of danger and bring her back to a now altered future. It's the exact same Pyrrha that died, only now she's not dead and everything is better.

An alternative dimension Pyrrha, while technically Pyrrha, isn't THEIR Pyrrha, which has the potential for drama, and also reintroducing a fan favorite character in a new and interesting light, while not going back and making the original's death some meaningless affair.
Example.

Maybe the alternative dimension Pyrrha isn't anywhere near as strong as main dimension Pyrrha was. Maybe her semblance isn't as overpowered, or maybe she hasn't even unlocked it yet. Maybe she's considerably more timid in combat, but is domestically much more confidant.
Perhaps in her universe, SHE was the Jaune, and Jaune was the Pyrrha. Maybe the Jaune in her dimension was the big rising star that threw her into a locker after kissing her to keep her safe and then went to foolishly die in a fight against Cinder Fall.
That would open up a lot development for, in the very least, Jaune.

Honestly, I'd kind of like to see Jaune sink into depression, then get all muttery. One day he disappears. Every once in a while someone from the cast will be told about or bitched at about him. It's always weird stuff. Jaune broke into some old abandoned village. He lifted some dusty old gibberish book from the museum nobody cared about other than that he punched out five guards to get it. What if it's not just them pulling Pyrrha out of the past and safely into the future, but that thanks to having to go back to change something to stop Salem from getting a total win in the future, which causes some changes, once of which is Pyrrha still being alive.

For headache saving purposes say it's like Back to the Future where Marty goes to alternate 85 (he still only remembers the original timeline, but he clearly had a spot in the altered timeline that everyone there remebers him being at)

It's still technically their Pyrrha, except she remembers 4 years or so of the altered timeline that in their memories she wasn't present for so she's almost like a stranger to them now. In fact new timeline Pyrrha has been technically there longer than the time they were with original Pyrrha.
