Are the X-Men and Hulk the most anti-authority superheroes?

I mean even people who are hypothetical renegade loose canons like Hawkeye and Guy Gardner are ultimately of towing the line

Hulk isn't anti-authority, he just wants to be left alone but has worked for organizations before.
Same goes for Wolverine, he may come off as an ass but he doesn't have a problem working with teams or organizations.

Depends what you mean by authority. A character like the Punisher doesn't answer to governement authorities basically ever, but he does try to go along with their rules and even uses those to justify his choices (he kills people who are seen as criminals by law). Although I guess whether he's heroic is debatable.
There really aren't that many revolutionary heroes in capes because the status quo needs to be maintained somehow.

>he doesn't have a problem working with teams or organizations.
Eh, in the end he proves useful but he always butts heads with tons of people, especially leaders.
>>
>>81993918
Which is why I said he comes off as an ass.
>>
>>81993795
that would be, ironically, the Authority.
>>
>>81993953
But he does have problems working with others and under their authority, just not as much as the Punisher.

The Hulk is anti-authority by simple basis that the entire United States military is his personal J Jonah Jameson

but maybe not so much so now that ross isn't a general

Probably should have used a difrent op image I dident notice at first you said x-men not wolverine.
>>
>>81993984
huh that is pretty ironic

X-Men no, because they answer to an authority, their leader.

Hulk yes because Hulk hates being pushed around
