For writers he is an accumulation of all the bat side kicks that have come before him, the physicality of a lifetime in the circus like Grayson, the criminal grittiness of Jason Todd both in that he is too young and too small but that of course he is an Al Ghul. This leads into how Damien revisits a theme from Batman's last Great supporting character with their own book Cassandra Cain as Batgirl. Even the crime family connection of Huntress.

Damien could only be bested by some sort of cyborg with boys consciousness imprinted on it like DC1MILLION or RockPaperScissors(Titans)
