Fuck this was so God damn good. Anyone else read it?
Hazel makes me melt.
I disliked the ending but I enjoyed the rest of the book very much.
From 1 to 10 I'd give it a meh.
Yes, she certainly was scalding hot!

What didn't you like about it? I think it felt a bit rushed. But over all I enjoyed it.

I'm a little cynical so it may be biased, but i remember I had an issue with the main character trying to get back with main love interest again, I don't remember much suggesting that she developed as a character, so in the end, I didn't see her learn from her mistakes, or how this time (after the ending) is going to be different than before. I believed their relationship was just going to fall into lying again.

Yeah, I can totally see that. Maybe that's just part of cramming it all into one book instead of a few. It definitely feels like big things were just glossed over with a simple fix of the mushroom. Like the fight with her and Max. But overall it'd a very charming little book.
Thought it was enjoyable, glad to see O'Malley keep doing comics after becoming relatively well known

yeah I think it was too much of a dues ex machima, which is fine to wrap up a book, and I'm not sure if "girl gets eternally punished for lying" would have sold very well, but hey, maybe a bit of a risk would have made it a better ending. but the whole story was very comfy.

Too be honest I was on the last few pages when I originally started the thread. I was hoping it would be a sad ending.
Storytime it, it looks interesting
We had this fucking thread a day or two ago.

it's funny because this thread plays out the SAME way everytime. I don't think anyone has ever discussed the actual story, we just say "it was sorta good" and other people say "it was sorta bad" and then some one says scott pilgrim is trash and then someone says that hazel is a cute

I thought this was the same thread from yesterday (or the day before that) until I noticed the lack of art that was posted in the last thread. What is the purpose of having this one, I wonder?
I was told by a friend that originally O'Malley had written a tragic ending but his friends and editor recommended a different one.
I couldn't find a source so take that as you will.
