The writers have made it perfectly clear through this show that they don't give a diggity dang fuck about the comic book lore, and she hasn't anything narratively important this entire season beyond getting her sister back. They finally fixed her character and instead of doing anything with her sacrificed her running time to Felicity's love life and Thea's dead-boring bloodlust storyline.

The only other option is Diggle, and dank memes about there only being one black guy allowed on the team aside the fans love that character too much for them to ever kill him off, gay helmet and all.

I remember how much we hated 'muh alcohol' Laurel. Amazing to see that just having her be a normal person without tears and drama was all it took.

Felicity has a different problem, she is the center of this shows world now. She left Ollie and the very next episode was all about her and Ollie trying to work around it, even the villain's entire motive was to kill them for being in love. Then she quits the team for good and the very next episode is again all about her and the villain is out for her and not GA.

She's suffocating this show to the point that even with no ties to Felicity, it's all about Felicity.

Kreisberg invented her in the comics before writing her into the show.

And she was as shitty in the comic when she first appeared there. You could tell she'd be awful when her arrival started with her killing off other GA villains to cement how awesome she was.
