How was spider-man able to lift Captain America's shield? I thought only the most patriotic were able to lift it?
His suit is red white and blue.
>>81230738
>>81230760
>born and raised in NY
>wears red white and blue
Huh.
Peter Parker is Jewish. As America's greatest allies, the Jews get to use all of America's assets without having to play by the rules.
>>81230738
>Implying he isn'tWhat was with all the shots of Spidey in front of American flags in the Raimi films?
>>81230738
Peter Parker does what Peter Parker wants
>>81230803
shoo shoo Bendis
>>81230738
No, only virgins can lift the shield.
If Black Widow touched it, she would collapse on herself creating a black hole.
>>81230842
Bucky isn't a virgin.
>>81230881
Ass doesn't count.
>>81230881
Masturbating with the robot hand doesn't count.
>>81230803
Even Bendis (That's right, Bendis. The Bendis.) knows Pete isn't Jewish.
>>81230881
In the mcu?
>>81230738
I'd love it if caps shield was made of what Thors hammer was. THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A COMIC LIKE THAT, right?
>>81230738
OKAY GUYS REAL TALK SERIOUS TIME,
COULD THOR LIFT UP HIS HAMMER IF IT WAS UNDER CAP'S SHIELD, NOTE THOR IS A NAZI PAGAN GOD.
>>81230842
hello /r9k/
>>81230738
That story arc where Captain America got disillusioned with the country and couldn't lift the shield anymore was garbage.
>>81230905
He very clearly got some poon in the first film.
>>81230881
His chadness overrides shield virginity detetor
>>81230821
Seriously?
The first movie came out months after 9/11 and they actually had to edit the buildings out of the original footage they'd shot for several scenes.
>>81230914
After Fear Itself the broken shield was fixed with uru metal, the same stuff the hammer is made of. It was supposed to leave a permanent visible crack in it that did nothing but looking kinda cool, but everyone immediately forgot about it and I don't think it was drawn anywhere outside of the event itself.
>>81230821
First one came out around 2001, right?
That's why they put the YOU MESS WITH ONE OF US YOU MESS WITH ALL OF US bit in.
>>81231017
FUCK THEM AL QAEDA NIGGAS
>>81230738
Hey remember that time Spidey became a Cold War spy for the USA in the what if Spider-Man vs Wolverine comic?
>>81230922
>>81231095
Remember that time his parents were CIA/SHIELD agents who fought the Red Skull?
>>81231134
No actually. Is the story as good as it sounds?
>>81231134
>CIA
>>81230738
>>81230821
9/11 was still a fresh wound
Shit theaters cross the country claped at the bridge scene
>>81231178
kinda. They went back to that again like three years ago where Peter's "sister" showed up so they could hunt down nazi gold
>>81230738
NEVER EVER
He looks just like his dad
>>81231352
>theaters cross the country claped
wait this is real? I tought american clapping in the theater was a stupid meme or something
>>81231436
>wait this is real? I tought american clapping in the theater was a stupid meme or something
This sentence is more a stupid meme at this point.
>>81231436
No it's real.
>Going to watch Ant-Man with my brother
>Trailer for some coast line movie comes on
>Everyone claps
>Coming back to the states from a Bongland school trip
>plane lands
>everyone claps
I honestly dont see the problem. People clap and cheer everywhere
>>81230958
>the virginity detector is an /r9k/ beta AI
>confronted by an immortal supersolider alpha chad it whimpers away
>"n-normies reee"
>>81230842
Sure >>81231348
>>81231479
It's silly in film theaters though, because the people you're applauding are hundreds, if not thousands of miles away. Maybe.
Also, I can't help but feel like people have started clapping more often after the /tv/ meme started. That might be in my head though.
>>81230903
>implying "oy" hasn't been assimilated into the English lexicon like so many other non-English words
>>81231479
Clapping when the plane touches down can get a bit grating if you're a frequent flyer, but it's still less stupid than clapping in the cinema.
At least the pilot and stewardesses can hear you.
>>81230821
back to /pol/
>>81231695
No you idiot everything isn't a stupid meme. People clap to show their appreciation of the movie to the others in the audience, not to people who aren't in the fucking room.
>>81230738
Better question is: How did nobody notice him run up towards them before jumping over CA?
Like a frisbee, since he's like a dog.
>>81232555
Clearly there's some structure nearby. Maybe a Quinjet.
>>81230842
She did lift it, remember? She's "Always picking up after you boys"
Lifting the shield is not a problem, throwing it and not killing everyone in the room is.
Only super-patriots or direct descendants of the founding fathers or people currently in contact with the Constitution can lift the shield.
>>81231436
Not on opening day where I'm from. That's one of many reasons why I always go to the smaller theater literally across the street from the big bad shit one in my town.
>>81235758
>>81235845
They killed... our boys
>>81231378
Ladies and gentlemen, I present... the Arachnid-American.
>>81231436
It's the classic way of showing approval and appreciation. even if it's stupid to do it in a cinema, people need to show that in some form.
What kind of person is cold and emotionle- oh yeah, Europeans.
>>81231378
I actually like this costume. Why hasn't it been done?
>>81230881
He never picked the shield, it was already on air.
>>81230738
Im not sure how i feel about the costume. Which they had just used the suit from SpiderMan 2, but im for the expressive eyes
>>81231378
THE WEB-SPANGLER STRIKES AGAIN!
>>81230803
I always thought he was Catholic.
>>81235983
I'm European. There are two cases where I heard people clap in cinema:
- during movie artsy festivals I went to. The people making the movies are usually in the room, and where they aren't, you are still showing appreciation for the organizers - because they are there, and it's often hard to get the movie rights for artsy fartsy stuff and to show it and organize it, etc etc
- during Avengers in the Hulky Smash Puny God scene.
I heard people burst into laughter and clapping in that very moment.
And I clapped too.
That's it. And I go to see movies pretty often.
I wonder if a radioactive Spiderman bites you, that you gain the proportional speed and strength of a Spiderman
>>81231411
>flat ass
what a shame...
>>81231436
The only time I remember the audience clapping was at the end of Revenge of the Sith.
>>81230799
Spider-Man confirmed for Donald Trump.
>>81230821
I understand the patriotism in the first movie as the country recovered from 9/11, but I CRINGED the fuck out when they brought back the flag in 3. I just felt it was unnecessary and cheesy, and that's saying a lot when it comes to a comic book movie.
>>81240376
When I saw the Scott Pilgrim movie on release night, the crowd there would cheer and clap every time scott won a fight, but that was kind of a different atmosphere.I wonder why Scoot isn't on the "midnight cult movie" circuit. Seems apt.
