It all depends on if he'll be relevant to the plot. I think Boris served his purpose. He was a nice challenge for Poppy and showed that she wouldn't be able to one punch everything. Hell it showed that she's probably gonna get her ass kicked most of the time. He'll probably end up like Ewe-Lala. Personally, I see this as a catalyst for Lily to actually persue her doctor dream.

Think about it: King Darling is dying from a magical tumor. A MAGICAL tumor. It was mentioned that they can't touch it because of how magic triggers it. But an opossum doesn't have any magic to trigger it. They could remove it using a plain, nonmagic scalpel without so much as a spark.

I can see this as a really good stepping stone into exploring how an opossum saved a king and how the public opinion could change as a result.
