It was written to be a comedy, right? I wasn't really suppose to take it seriously?

I like Spider-Man 2 but even when it came out , I could tell the CGI wasn't going to age well. The train scene doesn't measure up to the fight between Spider-Man and Willem Dafoe at the end of the first movie but it's still enjoyable.
