News flash: Marvel gets the rights of the Fantastic 4 back from Fox. They hire you to be the writer of the next film and by that, you have to establish the team in the MCU.

Here's my take.

>MCU Fantastic 4.
>Movie happens after The Infinity War.
>The US government finds itself as an easy target when it comes to extra-terrestrial conflicts (as its shown in The Avengers). They are light-years away comparing with other space beings such as the Chitauri and the Kree when it comes to interstellar traveling and weaponry technology.
>They also conclude that they can't rely on the aid of SHIELD (because of the HYDRA seeds planted inside this division) and The Avengers (they have shown to be too self-conflictive and chaotic) any longer.
>So they create a secret research division with the only purpose of developing new and easier ways to tackle these type of threats (can be called SWORD for fan service)
>Drs. Reed Richards and Susan Storm, alongside US air force sergeant Ben Grimm and engineering extraordinaire Johnny Storm, are recruited to develop cutting-edge spaceships to be use for military purposes.
>Years of development later, they finally developed their first prototype. To show how the spaceship can be "easily piloted", the dev team volunteer itself for the first test launch.
>After a successful launch, the spaceship gets hit by cosmic radiation, and so as the four pilots that were inside.
>After completely loosing control of the flight, they end up crashing back to Earth, where they all survive and end up finding themselves with super powers.
>After the incident, the government denies the recognition of this project's purpose and dismantles the division from existence.
>>
i would just want a secret wars movie

and the original one not that shit fest we got last year.
>>
After Infinity War;

Thanos is defeated yet a fragment of one of the Infinity Stones is left on Earth. The Fantastic Four and Victor Von Doom make up the team of scientists that study the stone. Doom doesn't gain any "powers" but his Gypsy magic abilities are awakened and enhanced by the stone. He seeks to use the stone to gain control. In the end he's left in power over a small island of Latveria but doesn't expand beyond that. In future installments have Doom tamper with the stone and end up drawing threats like Glactus, Skrulls, and others to Earth.

This is a Crazy idea But i wouldn't do a F4 movie right away.

After Infinity war i'd Do a Doom origin movie based on the "Book of doom" but give reed a substantial role as a supporting character but i won't have reed get powers or any thing. The movie ends with doom going full doom, and reed going off to plan his space expiditon

Ok, ive thought on this for a while and this is the best way for me to both introduce the FF on the MCU in a easy way that would please everyone
>IW post-credits scene
>after the fight and reality altering shenanigans, we are left with a look at times square after the final battle
>a fissure in reality opens in mid NY
>5 figures come out of the crack
>the fantastic four stand tall, strong and young
>the orange hulk carries a man covered in a green shroud, we can see his hand holding a glowing rod, burns all over his body.
>as they look around the man in the center stretches his hands and whispers
>We're finally back
>fade out
thats the way i could see getting the best intro with as much hype possible
follow the FF movie we see that they all are from the 90's SHIELD special science discovery team (a la Hank Pym in Antman) that were close to replicate the tesseract in objectsfor transportation, they are about to show the invention to a special circle of the UN for special funding for materials (Wakanda, Sokovia, and specially Latveria) in their presentation the meet the king of Latveria (a proper Doom, a genius in every way) who tampers with the device with magic, with that the device gets fucked and the five of them get sucked into the negative zone (doom doesnt get any powers from the travel cause of magic spells)
The rest of the movie would be inside the N-zone and it would show the team trying to get back nd getting stuck until IW gives them a window to get back
Basically they would come from the 90's, SHIELD covered the whole issue for good to avoid international scandal
the world never knew the FF and they were in fact the first family and it gives an opportunity to make the pre-IM MCU more alive
Btw all the time since the 90's was like 5 years on the N-zone
oh and the kicker?
Reed and Doom both know reality isnt safe yet... not when the ANNIHILATION of life comes from outside the universe...
And thats my take on the FF, phase4, any opinions?
>>
Use the infinity stones to summon them from Fox?

>RDJ wins 100 gorillion dollars from this movie

>>81075702
>Movie begins in late 1960s New York
>Scientist Reed Richards and his girlfirend Sue and her brother engineer Johnny build spaceship because 60s space race
>rival country Latveria also plans on building spaceship to beat USA in space race
>Latverians boast about how they're so close etc. US is scared Latveria, their rivals, will win.
>Ben Grimm friend of Reed Richards and fairly involved with the space project is told to sabotage Latverias rocket lab otherwise Reed's rocket project is withdrawn.
>leading Latverian scientist Victor Von Doom gets caught in the explosion from Ben's sabotage
>Reed and co. Launch their rocket but government tells them to take Ben along (as a thank you to Ben).
>The crew in space celebrates that they won the space race, Ben reveals he actually sabotaged Latverias ship.
>Reed is so angry he doesnt notice Johnny warning him about cosmic radiation because they're all fighting.
>They make an emergency landing back on Earth and are effected by radiation and start developing powers
>Von Doom now is recovering but badly scarred so wears metal armour, visits priests who teach him magic because he is told he is not going to live
>A while passes, Fantastic Four have learned how to use their powers. Doom is a well known and respected politician/leader and source of inspiration (he survived despite the odds) in Latveria
>launches an attack on the USA because he finds out his equipment has obviously been sabotaged
>government sends the fantastic four to stop him
>they showcase their powers in the fight against Doom and eventually defeat him, working together
>a while passes, Reed has forgiven Ben because he feels responsible for turning him into the Thing.
> Reed is building new technology and has married Sue.

If you need a more modern take, set it in current day and make it inter-dimensional travel instead of space travel.
>>
>>81078308
Thats a really good story.
But how would it fit within the stablished MCU
>>
>>81078377
>Thanos banishes the Infinity Gauntlet into another dimension/into deep space
>The team need to travel to another dimension/outer space to get it
>Latveria ends up with the Stones
>Doom with Infinity Gauntlet

take 1

>Movie opens
>It's a cheesy 1960s sidereel, complete with hokey announcer.
>Reed Richards science prodigy shoots family into space!
>retell the original origin of the F4
>show how they got their powers and took on dr doom who was a vicious dictator of a foreign nation rising to power and the F4 stopped world war 3 by getting involved before any counties went to war to stop him invading local nations or something.
>brave super family honored by government and set up shop in downtown manhattan

>camera pans out
>it's current year, and the hokey b roll movie was a video on the baxter building tour app being watched by a group of schoolkids.
>Open as if the F4 have always been around but have only really ever been a scientific research facility, very rarely dong anything vaguely resembling super heroics.
>>
>>81078438
Now that is really cool.
>>
>>81077736
Also.
the MCU would never know they existed because SHIELD covered their disappearences forever.
leaving a clear way for them to exist and still be unknown to people.
Also being from the 90's o 80's lets Red and Ben be vetera s of war and Reed can be older than Tony and Bruce.
>>
>>81078473
But how would they be in the MCU if they are old and dont have powers?
>>
>>81078592
not the OP, but I'd say radiation stops from aging drastically, but I think a slightly older Fantastic 4 team would be cool (they can get their powers when they're young).
>>
take 2

>A gang of hicks are getting drnk and driving around in the middle of buttfuck desert nowhere when they find a building out in the desert.
>they decide to break in and see whats what, drunkenly trying to hop over the fence when one of them trips and knocks over a cannister or something outside, they all panic and run away as the buildings alarms go off.
>just as all of them bar one get back to the car the building explodes and they race off leaving a guy behind.
>the one lone drunk hick falls on his backside as he stares up in horror at the flaming man descending from the sky.
>'Hey there buddy, you don't look so hot! GET IT?''
>guy screams and runs away.
>The rest of the F4 emerge from the building with Reed holding a scannery thing looking perplexed.
>Nobody back at the bar believes the hick of what he saw and the gang refuse to talk about it because they think they caused the explosion.

>back at the explosion site reed explains that the experiment was a failure and they were shunted 50 years into the future.
>turns out the F4 disappeared into another dimension during a top secret mission for the US government, who arrive shortly after discovering the explosion.
>they've all been listed as dead and the government bring them in for testing.
>powers are explained and showcased a little as they're brought in for evaluation and immediately considered for the avengers team.
>Turns out they're vaguely radioactive/contaminated and need to be kept seperate. They're not dangerous to each other but they are to people without cosmically irradiated powers.
>reed builds costumes to disperse the radiation which is fueled when they use their powers (except for ben, who just has to suck it up and wait longer) they assume that their powers will fade in time but as it goes on it looks like they might be stuck with them which creates a rift in the team as everyone else gets jazzed as ben gets pissed.
>>
>>81078646
Ok. That sounds plausible.
youre right mate
>>
>>81078653

>since the F4 won't have their powers long and can't be around people, they're also super suited to the continued recent experiments in dimensional travel being worked on by the government.
>reed advances their projects by decades just by showing up and reading their shit and pretty much immediately takes over.
>the others kinda suck it up and join him, as their being irradiated makes them most viable for the job of traversing dimensions.
>reed discovers the negative zone and they plan to take a trip there.
>b plot is johnny and ben breaking out of the quarantine to go explore the world outside, and they get into a scrape outside a bar and end up showcasing their powers but very slightly. Johnny hits on a chick at a bar with flame tricks but gets dragged out by bikers and before they can beat him up, ben comes out of the alley nearby and scares the shit out of them, we don't really see ben, he's all trenchoated and shit, but he's chaperoning johnny.
>A plot is dimension hopping for the government and B plot is the guys accidentally becoming sorta heroes in a small way.

>later they get busted by sue who tails them, turns out the radiation is not something they need to worry about hurting people with, reed made it up so the government would leave them alone to do dimensional work and not get drafted onto a 'silly costume team'.
>reed confimed for smartest in universe, take a jab at iron man armor while making dimension travelling ships and such.
>>
>>81078174
Why exactly?
>>
>>81078747
>>81078653
Ya lost me mate
>>
Infinity War ends with the Fantastic Four arriving back on Earth. It's revealed that some time before Iron Man 1, four scientists were sent deep into space on an exploratory mission outside the Milky Way galaxy in an experimental vessel designed by their leader. They have their classic Cosmic Radiation origin, but after their ship is hit with it they find themselves lost in space. They have adventures throughout the galaxy trying to find their way back home, and finally make it back after Infinity War.

The reason Doom and Latveria haven't been mentioned in all this time is because Doom hasn't taken up real villainy. He is merely the dictator of a small nation, but is actually liked by his underlings well enough that the UN isn't bothering with him at this point. But the return of his nemesis, Richards, who he developed a rivalry with in school and who he blames for his scarring, angers him enough that he tries to destroy the Fantastic Four.
>>
>>81078762
Not only nrmies wouldnt get the gist of it.
marvel would never do a movie about a supervillain.
soUnds like a small niche and Doom is a real bad villain not some one reedemable
>>
>>81078747
>Turns out the F4 are just sort of sideways to the rest of the MU, they're off doing their own shit in super secret while everything else happens.
>Reed discovers all this cool shit in alternate dimensions but everything starts getting wobbly when he realises there might be a threat to THIS dimension.
>the infinity stones
>he shuts down the project and admits the radiation shit was BS to the government who realise how smart reed is and have just basically given up at this point and sick fury on him.
>reed negotiates a deal to be an independent team based on something they did (beat back an invasion from th NZ by anhilus or something) and they get drafted as an autonomous super science unit.
>movie ends with Tony going apeshit about some magician that stole his armor designs and emailed him saying they were terrible and improving them. Tony is mostly mad that they were improved.
>Fury can't send in the well known avengers to fuck up a foreign nation now that the world has brought the avengers under the world's spotlight due to civil war.
>Fury sends the semi clandestine F4 to sort it out.>
>Movie ends as air raid sirens go off in latveria as johnny rains down fire and sue acts like gusts of wind. Ben emerges from a mountainside to scare the shit out of people and reed is reading a book five miles away while he rubber bends shadow puppets johnny lights to make it look like demons are invading latveria to spook the dumb locals.
>the raid on latveria begins

I don't really like the F4 being a sort of covert team, except maybe at first until they earn their stripes kinda thing. But it'd work as an introduction maybe.

I really just want them to be the fun wholesome family unit living in downtown manhattan that they were when I started reading them.
>>
>>81078848
Dooms inherent nobility has always been a staple of of the character, i think the story of a guy on the track to being a hero but then says fuck it Supervillian would be some thing normies would be intresting
>>
>they got their powers from the battle of new york
>Doom has Chitauri armour and no cloak
>Latveria is a company, Doom the CEO
>main focus is Reed and Sue's relationship
>gay undetones with johnny and the thing
>Fantastic Four is the name given to them by TIME magazine for some science jargon related breakthrough about the battle of new york
>they hunt Doom because he either stole Reed's research or he has something to do with the infinity gauntlet
>through team work they blow up the building leaving Doom inside leaving it vague to whether they keep him alive or recast him later
>Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood and the Destroyers plays at least twice

leave the execs to fill in the plot details and why they can't call in the avengers and we have a box office winner right there

>Fantastic Four comics made as Cold War propaganda
>team is given suits similar to the comic to fuck with the russians even more
>cut to Doom learning about the FF and show a stronger Latveria
>FF gets news of a mission in Latveria
>Reed has an creeping feeling that it's Doom
>they infiltrate the country to see creatures from the Negative Zone used as pawns
>Doom greets them and fights Reed 1v1 final destination no items
>other team is fighting the monsters but it free to help Reed as a family
>Doom lets out one final "RICHARDS!" as he gives it all he's got with magic
>it destroys the negative zone machine and causes a chain reaction that places the four in modern day whereever

Karl Urban as Reed, Chris Pine as Johnny, Michael Chiklis as Ben

The F4 really suffer from being Marvel's 'First' family, but not having been established yet. The only way you can really do it is either have them start earier like ant man did, and just not explain why we've never seen them before, or establish them after modern marvel movies, and have everyone think they're derivative.

Personally I'd love to have the movie entirely set in the 1960s, and have reed by an adventurous 20 year old who drags them into the spaceship fiasco. And cut to today and throw a gag in later about the new hero spider-man trying to get a job at the long established baxter building in Yet Another Spider-Man.
Maybe have the family go super legit and be SUCH a famous celebrity that they are just brands at this point. Like their name is worth more than anything they do. Nobody expects them to be heroes because they just sell themselves on brand. Like Johnny is a household name but everyone knows he's an arrogrant prick, and nobody would want to be rescued by him apart from the super vapid girls.

Reed is bascally mr science. Super cold and calculating a bit difficult to understand. Sue is basically his brand manager and sue is so busy helping reed we don't get to know her. Johnny is obnoxious teen millionaire almost a parody of himself and ben is this horrific monstrosity that terrorises anyone he gets near, always lashing out and yelling at people.

The movie's plot is how they become the most loved family in manhattan. Not just by using their powers and losing their egos/distractions, but about how they fall in love with the city and it's people. Or in reverse start off with them being loved and make them super. But I like the idea of them being 'above' the regular MCU and intergrating in backwards. Like Fury would never consider johnny for the avengers because fuck that kid is annoying.
>>
So long as we get some kind of cameo gag involving Ben and Logan I'd be happy.
>>
I guess we have to set it after IW, because there wouldn't be any real reason as to why the FF didn't participate, aside from them being booted off world.

Here's what I think:

>World still healing from Thanos and his giant blue guy bullshit
>The perfect/worst timing for a Galactic entity to strike
>A man is being interrogated
>"Everything dies and I accept that."
>Nick Furry is talking
>"What I cannot accept, is life being snatched away without life having a say!"
>Reed Richards is sitting at the other end of the cold steel table
>He looks up
>'I agree." Reed Says
>"Something is coming and its bigger than Thanos. I think you and your team are the only ones who can stop it."
>Nick throws some printed photos that appear to have been taken with a satellite showing a figure captured in light, infrared, gamma and another spectrum cosmic radiation.
>"Why is that?" Reed retorts, peering at the prints.
>Nick sighs
>"Because you're the smartest guy on the planet."

The story will revolve around Reed trying to prevent the end of the world, the FF's struggle to prepare for Galactus and their integration/acceptance into the rest of the MCU crew. The FF will have gotten their powers during IW or immediately following it. There will be some basic "Oh shit Johnny is made of fire and Ben turned into a rock." lollygagging but the plot will be heavily focused on Reed and his task of stopping galactus that will inevitably end in a climatic battle having the FF band together, shaping into heros. Perhaps Reed invents the ultimate nullifier creating a nuclear deterrent that makes galactus piss off.

As a side note: Doom already exists, hes King in Latveria and already has a history with Reed. I'd put him into a cameo position. I might be wrong but with the direct antagonist being Galactus I'd rather not take away from his grandeur by also making Doom a threat.
>>
I'm a pymfag so doom cucks reed and fucks sue before he kills himself, while Ben and Johnny fuck of to who cares where
>>
>>81079694
Actually, I think it would be much easier if the movie has Reed find out about Galactus himself and gathers the other three to be a team to try and stop the problem (which Reed underestimates a lot) without exposing it to the general public. It would be a perfect reason for why the massive number of other heroes aren't employed to deal with it instead of a scientist and his three friends. Also would be great way to show that Reed is brilliant but a bit egotistic if he discovers Galactic himself, but doesn't realize the full danger of his coming.

Doom is a guy you can really stake a narrative on. Also after Infinity War Marvel needs to do something new and different and maybe a trilogy of villain movies would do that (obviously spaced between two "phases")

Doom
Loki
Nebula would be my choice.

First one is the story of a man doing anything to save his mother from the devil, totally understandable story.

Second is a heartthrob with a misanthropic streak saving his homeland for selfish reasons alongside a warrior woman (I'd just use comics Valkeryie) who he gradually gains respect and some feelings for until she dies because he was selfish. I'd also have Infinity War basically burn Asgard to the ground so we have some major stakes of rebrithing Asgard and such. Maybe have him become a new anti-hero for a trilogy.

Last would be Nebula, the scariest creature in the galaxy, dodging murder attempts cause she sided with the wrong side in basically a war against everyone ever and trying to figure out what her dead sister even meant by some dying words that probably are cool and better written than I can pull off. Searching for a moral compass. Maybe call this one Infinity Watch or if you really wanna get sassy Annihilators. Have it be the new GotG (or just call it GotG 3).
>>
>>81085793
Im not saying its not good.
its just that the heads of studio would never do that.
like the magneto movie
>>
>>81086173
I'll be honest, Marvel is very weird so far. They keep straddling serious and jokey with shit like "Libertarian the Movie" with cap and Ant-Man and GotG being some of the best comedies in recent times. I think when they smell the fire of the bubble bursting they'll find a new way to assembly line movies that'll still grab an audience tired of constant cape movies.
>>
>>81086236
Thats the smart thing to do.
as long as i get a movie about Nova ill just be happy
>>
>>81078308
I don't like the idea of Ben sabotaging dooms rocket, makes Ben more the villain of the story then doom also like in the 2005 movie I like the idea of Doom being a work colleague more then a ruler already makes it feel more that Reed and Doom are rivals.
>>
>>81086939
I'm scared and relieved that Marvel is in such "good" hands. It's like when your stepfather is really really cool but you can hear him yell "suck it bitch" to your mom at night. I mean hey he loves me and is someone I can actually look up too compared to my deadbeat father but I have questions about their relationship.
>>
>>81087314
Thats a pretty accurate analogy anon.
if a bit traumatic.
>>
Simple really.

Have them introduced DURING infinity war

>the 5 is already sent in a space station near earth's orbit
>they watch in horror as Thanos' hordes of forces approaches earth
>they can do nothing to help their planet but watch and see it burn
>infinity part 1 post credit scene is a wave of radiation from the infinity gems hits the space station they're in
>they crash the space station on earth to help the Avengers

Suspend production until after Infinity War and after some heroes get retired. MCU is too cluttered right now
>>
>>81075702
They've been around since the beginning. Since Iron Man 1. You could easily establish Reed talking to Tony and Banner, giving help to Fury, passing a little Pym particle help to good ol' Hank (he does know more about them after all). The reason why we've never seen them? After the accident, which took place shortly before the first Iron Man, Reed locked himself and the other three up in the Baxter Building. It has taken them this long to properly learn to use and control their powers. Unlike Cap who got turned into the pinnacle of human kind or Thor who is literally a God, or even the Hulk who is a monster on a leash, the four of them were turned into cosmic irradiated monsters. He does not want to turn into another Hulk, another monster on a leash.

So they've spent the past few years in the Baxter Building, exploring the N-Zone, checking out space in secret, trying to find a way to fix themselves, working on their powers. Everyone but Ben can now turn them on and off at will. But Reed is still worried at how they will be seen after all the trouble the Avengers have gotten themselves into. He needs something bright and colorful and optimistic. He needs a name that inspires awe and wonder instead of vengeance, a team that is seen as one of explorers and scientists and world builders, not soldiers and world breakers. He needs a Fantasticar, not a Helicarrier.

In a world after an alien invasion and a Civil War, a world where a mad Titan nearly broke reality in two and heroes can easily be mixed up with villains, the world doesn't just need superheroes. It needs the Fantastic Four.

And in an extraordinarily isolated country, an equally isolated king also finds something to fight for again when he sees that the man he hates most in the world is not only still alive, but a hero. A hero? That is not only impossible, but insulting.

For it is his belief that all hope lies in Doom.
>>
>>81088666
>>81088705
I like it.

After the whole infinity war shit, Marvel should divert their attention to Spider-man and the Fantastic Four, have the gems separated once and for all but Victor Von Doom secretly takes a gem for himself.

It would be a smaller scale compared to Infinity War until Galactus and Sentry
>>
I think they'd be great as the First Family after the Avengers retire or something. Like Cap goes off on a spirit journey across America, Tony goes to space, Thor goes back to Asgard, and the world heroes kinda try to disappear after all of it. Thus we get The Fantastic Four as the fathers of a new brand of hero, along with a now 20-something Peter Parker. We can introduce all these new characters inspired by the Four's more explorer role as super-humans. We get people going to distant realms to help humanity in less of a "protect" and more of a "expand" sorta way.

To me they have to be older than the current MCU
i cant see them being younger than Iron Man.
the latest FF movie showed that the young approach sucks.
I think this is the best way to get them.in >>81077736

OP here, really cool reads right here.
Here's some shit that came out of my head.

>MCU Fantastic 4 franchise.
>All the movies are episodic, ala Star Wars, with other MCU non-F4 movies tying into the narrative.

Fantastic Four Ep. 1: The Future's Foundation:
>Movie focus on the four trying to cope with their superpowers and trying to reinvent their lives to assist the greater good of human kind;
>Focus on Ben's dilemma of seeing his personal life getting destroyed in front of his two eyes, due to his appearance;
>Movie villain is the Mole Man, because 1) he never had a proper appearance in the movies 2) he's motives of trying to take revenge on the outside world for making fun of his appearances contrasts pretty well with F4's core dilemma in the film's narrative-the fear of persecution-and gives a darker view of taking that fear too seriously 3) seeing the moloids an d the subterranean creatures fleshed out on the silver screen would be pretty dope;

Sounds cool OP
who would you cast?
>>
>>81091871
Hard to answer, honestly.
Maybe, I would choose:
>Billy Crudup OR Patrick Wilson as Reed Richards
>Alice Eve as Susan Storm
>Mark Wahlberg as Ben Grimm
>Sam Claflin as Johnny Storm
>Timothy Spall as Mole Man

Please don't crucify me. I'm not good with cast choices. Anyways.

Obligatory Avengers/F4 team-up movie.
>Introduce the Skulls;
>Both the Avengers and the F4 join forces to defeat this menace;
>Mash up some beats from both the Kree/Skrull War and The Secret Invasion story arcs;
>Give some teases about the Illuminatti's existance;

Alice Eve
now that is some damn good casting.

1954. Reed Richards, along with his Wife, best friend Ben Grimm, and brother-in-law Johnny Storm are testing a spaceship Reed designed. Unbeknownst to the others, the ship was being designed to research extraterrestrial threats to the earth, which Reed was aware of due to government connections and ancient artifacts/area 51 etc. On the maiden voyage one of the artifacts built into the ship activates, sending it through a cloud of cosmic rays and into a warp gate into a pocket dimension where time itself passes more slowly.
This is all shown via a short (5 minute or less) montage sequence.

The Fantastic Four, uniforms having been made by reed along with a few other advanced super science items during their time in the pocket dimension fighting the Skrulls, escape the pocket dimension and arrive back on earth. Pan around shot of a modern city, pan up to Ironman flashing by overhead, flat screen TVs in store windows showing the news, the usual culture shock thing in a quick 20 second pan.

10 minutes of 'fish out of water' 1950's sensibilities meets the modern era, their old house a typical 50's suburb white picket fence now dilapidated and surrounded by high rises. while Reed's super intellect devours history and news via a bunch of computers at once, eventually reaching the conclusion of that story he tells to Valeria in that one comic. That for his family to survive at all, he has to make them not just heroes, but celebrities. Beloved by all.

15 minutes into the film, Reed Richards holds a press conference announcing the Fantastic Four. A few bored newsmen show up, a few camera men from the agencies recording in case it's worth airing. Reed walks out in old man professor tweed looking as boring as possible. And then the laser light show kicks in to the sound track of WE. ARE. FAMILY. and the rest of the F4 fly/appear/drop like a rock.

Remaining hour of the movie is feel good fuck yeah heroics with a positive spin.

I like this idea of the FF being the first superpowered team from the 60's space race. I also like them as a superpowered adventuring team than a crime fighting team. They never really fought crime anyway, normally just random aliens, gods, and world conquerors that they bumped into.

I would go with

>Reed is the lead scientist of the space ship project and leading physicist on earth at the time.
>Sue is the funding behind the project, Ben is the pilot for the ship, Johnny is just along for the ride because he is related to the "money"
>SHIELD is secretly watching the whole thing from secret and not too pleased a non government company is moving into space exploration
>SHIELD through legal meandering shuts down the project entirely, prompting Reed and co to steal the ship and test it anyway
>Reed's shield system does not work properly, actually enhances/transforms the cosmic radiation instead of blocking it, could be explained as another form of terrigenesis, ship crashes
>Also shield could have failed due to SHIELD/Hydra or Doom sabotage
>They all load into stasis pods while falling back to Earth
>SHIELD discover the pods and see they have been enhanced but consider them a threat to security
>SHIELD/Hydra completely bury all info on the team and remove their records. Reed's team is totally forgotten by everyone except a small few SHIELD higher ups.
>Fury needs another superhero team and for some reason or another cannot get the Avengers. Running out of options proceeds to unlock the FF.
>Make the thread be Namor is attacking the East coast, which SHIELD also has known about for decades but kept the info hidden
>SHIELD and Atlantis have been fighting a hidden war for years but now Atlantis now feels very threatened by the Avengers appearing more often. Have decided to stop attacking subs and start attacking civilians.
>FF stop Namor and defeat the Atlanteans, this makes them beloved superheroes in the eyes of the public.

Fantastic Four Ep.3: Long Live Doom:
>Introduces Doctor Doom;
>Will finally see Latveria;
>Only focus on Doom's revenge over Reed, after everything that happened in the past (all this will be explained in flashbacks of Reed's college years, which these will also explained how he met Ben and Sue);
>The reason Victor wanted to create a portal to hell will then be explained in...

Doctor Strange:Triumph & Torment

During the course of the main portion of the movie, establish the characters a bit, but not so much it drags it down. Ben is worried people will fear and hate him, and so soft-hearted he's crushed at a little kid being afraid of him. Johnny is shiftless and a bit lazy, but has a good heart. Sue tries to balance 1950's housewife desires of safety and domesticity against a serious mom-rage against anyone who would threaten or hurt others. Reed has a quiet moment of guilt or two over the life he's forced his family into. Nothing major.

2nd and later movies, with the concept established, can then have (still fun and positive) heroics, but also work in threads of major character arcs, like Johnny's "You think I'm afraid of that? YOU THINK I'M AFRAID OF THAT?", Ben's journey to accept himself, etc.

>After Battle of New York SHIELD looks into extra dimensional portals after seeing they are a reality
>Reed Richards is the leading authority on extra dimensions
>He builds a Portal similar to the one Loki had on Stark Tower
>Reed's project is funded by Sue Storm and short range exploration vehicle is piloted by Ben, Johnny is around because it's his father's company
>Doom has spies all over the Baxter Building and wants to sabotage Reed's project to kill him in regenge for his face.
>Doom has collections of all the alien artifacts, Chitauri drones, Iron Man armor, Ultron harnesses, Yellow Jacket suit specs, Nova Centurion helmet, Ravager ship, and a leviathan
>Doom's plan consists of sabotaging the project device and forcing Reed to enter it so it will kill him. He gets his spies to break it while other spies attempt to shut down the project getting SHIELD to declare it a hazard
>Reed and Ben are tricked into breaking back into the Military base and testing the portal, are accompanied by Sue and Johnny.
>The radiation shields of the ship are actually sabotaged, the radiation from the portal is what is supposed to kill them.
>As they enter the portal the shields send large amounts of cosmic radiation into the ship which give the FF their powers.
>The ship vanishes into the portal in a hidden location in Nevada but reappears on a small island in the pacific. This is where the FF discover their powers
>The appearance on the island is not a coincedence as lots of things from other dimensions appear there from time to time, it has the reputation of being a monster island or haunted island

I like the idea of the FF being time displaced.

It would be incredibly easy to seed, just have someone mention "the Fantastic disaster" like we would the Challenger or Columbia. I recognize the Fantastic is a pretty crappy name for a spaceship but it gives them a rock-solid reason for being called the Fantastic Four - like a next-gen Mercury Seven. Maybe have Reed be a big fan of Fantastic Voyage or something? Or the ship could have a boring administrative name like APM-4 and the media just gave it the nickname because Fantastic Voyage came out a few years back.

I think >>81077736 has a GOAT after-credits introduction idea, and it would be a great whammie to end IW on. But instead of the 80s or 90s I'd put them back in the 60s, go the full Mercury/Apollo Space Race aesthetic. We had CA:TFA and AC cover the 40s, IM2 and Ant-Man dealt briefly with the 70s and 80s, but no Marvel movie covers the 60s, despite the cultural significance of the decade. Not to mention that the FF fit really well with the pulpy-yet-Cold War sensibility making them a period group allows.

My ideal movie would be something like TWS, with the team adjusting to a brand new world while trying to save it (you could have Cap cameo as someone who recognizes the difficult situation), and instead of doing a full origin story, do flashbacks interspersed throughout (like Deadpool).

Doom has to be the villain, trying to take over his country. You could even say Sokovia IS Latveria, just that the new regime changed the name. AoU gives him a reason to instantly hate the heroes (and the FF's friendliness with Cap immediately puts them on his bad side) beyond hurr durr i'm ebil. Connecting Doom to Sokovia also integrates him into the MCU and connects him to the Avengers in interesting ways (particularly with Wanda, who he's had a complicated relationship with in the comics).

Have the movie end in a bitter-sweet way, with the Four beloved, but with Doom ruling Latveria.

>Island is ruled by the Mole Man who has some level of psychic control over the monsters and has taken offense at a government ship appearing on his island. He assums he is being invaded and prepares his monsters for war.
>FF defeat a few of his monsters on the island but the rest are marching towards the west coast
>They catch up and defeat the rest before they can destroy California
>Post credits Doom is watching the whole thing on a monitor, realized Reed is alive and is now more powerful. He contacts Namor on a small screen and says "Now is the time to take the surface"

IMHO, I really don't dig the time displaced F4. We already have Cap, why do we need a whole team of time displaced heroes? Also:
>Fantastic Four
>Fighters of a brighter future of humankind
>They're from the past

I know the team is a product of its time, but I guess that 60's vintage style could easily transcend to new times. Just look at J.J.Abrams' Star Trek movies. It uses the 60's futurism style of the original show, but with a contemporary twist to appeal new audiences.

TL,DR: Don't like the "time displaced" shit, 60's aesthetics will be conserved though.

Thing is, you can't do it straight in the Cold War era in the current MCU, because the FF is by their very nature a big deal. But Silver Age FF is fucking awesome, so here's how we have our cake and eat it too:

Either establish multiverses, and play it totally straight with no mention of the MCU until the post credits sequence when sixties Reed accidentally opens a portal to the MCU, OR

>movie starts in space, in orbit around Earth
>a portal type thing opens up and a very 60's, very roughed up rocket comes out of it
>cut to modern SHIELD ground control freaking out about it
>"Sir, we're getting a transmission, but it's on a really outdated frequency!"
>have Ben Grimm on the radio sounding all raspy announcing their return
>cut to some SHIELD team or Tony and Bruce or something getting briefed by Fury
>shows old-ass footage of the FF team, and a rocket launch
>turns out they tried to beat the Russians to Mars or some shit and made a hyperdrive of Reed's invention that used the Negative Zone as the warp yadda yadda
>they fucked up and it just shunted them sixty years into the future
>they land normal, have their Buck Rogers moment and meet everyone and then do the superpower do
>Doom shows up as Reed's main rival from the sixties who worked for the USSR
>his version of the drive just blew up and scarred him etc etc
>he wears the armor also as a life support system because he's old as shit now and people try to assassinate him and stuff
>also he grabbed Latveria when the Union fell and runs a shitty post-soviet state
>fight happens, FF wins, someone jokingly calls them the FF, roll credits
>Annihilus post credit sting
