Dr. McNinja general thread. I loved this webcomic when I was younger and a visit to the website showed me it's aged very

We must know
We must know in which fashion it has, in your judgement, objectively aged!

As an impartial observer in my opinion Dr. McNinja has definitely aged with the passing of time. A good comparison for this aging process would be the way that people themselves age over time. By my estimates Dr. McNinja is over a decade old by now.

Shit was my 2007.

Personal enough and funny in a mostly consistent way (the alt-text oftentimes being the best bit). Dear Lord that bit when Gordito is on a stake out trying to find out which priest from school is the demon bad guy 9999'd my sides

Shitty artwork, but at least the guy didn't rationalize it as being a) intentional b) "Aware but Don't even care I'm so cool LMAO"

It rode the generic-pop-culture-aggregation wave (ninja robot alien pirates!) pretty hard though, and that formula geometrically exploded in the late 2000s (terrifyingly, with no end in sight) so yeah, one could say (if one wanted to use stale, buzzwordy, borderline meaningless phrasing) it hasn't aged well considering the current utter saturation of that writing style

King Radical is possibly my favorite comic book villain of all time.

I just got the omnibus and the print collections, and I've been laughing just as hard now as I did in middle school. So maybe I didn't age well.

Been meaning to ask, do the books include the alt texts for each page?
>>
First time I went to NYCC, I bought the one book version of the Vampire story (best arc in my opinion) and got it signed for free

Really cool guy. I fell out of Dr. McNinja after that, but I still have good memories with the webcomic

Same thing with Axe-Cop. Early days were amazing and fun, but at some point it really started to feel like a 9 year old's writing. Not in the fun way either
>>
>>81054460
Yes! Really cool detail if you ask me and it shows that Doc McNinja cared for its fans

> 9 year old's writing
Um, isn't it actually written by the artist's kid brother or something?. I thought that was the gimmick

> THE BABIES HATE THE STEAKS

Punch Dracula and the preceding buildup arcs are the best
>>
>>81054592
Yes. I might not have worded it the best way, but I meant that the gimmick really wore out its welcome after the original run/the first Dark Horse publication of it

>How....innocent is the Ziti?
>Very innocent, sir.
>Yes. I will have the Ziti.

I loved that arc.

It's kinda good. I hope if Hastings does his thing with Marvel he remembers us freebie lovers and later on returns to do some McNinja stuff now and again despite his mega success. Best wishes to him and to the future.
