The criteria now seems to be not much after around 1982, though they air some 80's and 90's films if they're particularly notable. Most recent film I've seen them air is Fellowship of the Ring.

I love TCM because they're the only cable channel that has the balls to show movies unedited during the times that they're actually allowed. But, then again, there's no commercials, so I guess that's why they can show stuff unedited.

I missed the Fellowship of the Ring airing. Dunno when that was. I actually first found TCM while I browsing channels like a decade ago and came across Terminator 2 and was shocked when it was uncensored. That's also the latest film I've seen them air.

I haven't watched TCM in forever, though. Last I remember, Silent Sundays were cut down from an all night thing to only an hour or so... and their Halloween movie line-ups have gotten pretty stale. They rarely air classic horror movies like the Universal classic monster movies... mostly just some one-off Bela Lugosi or Boris Karloff movie and some of Hammer Films lesser known horror movies.

Silent Sundays are shorter now, and the foreign films have been pushed back to the graveyard shift. Even worse is Underground, which tends to come and go without warning (though they still show some pretty unique stuff like The Baby and Hausu)

Yeah, I saw Hausu on TCM at like 2 AM around four or five years ago. That was such an experience. I used to also go to sleep while an old French or Italian film was playing.

Man, I wish I had friends. It'd be nice to have people to hang out with to watch shit like Toonami and graveyard shift foreign films on TCM.

Huh, I've always wondered how I can catch more silent films on TCM, never payed enough attention to dig past flipping through the DVR schedule though.
I caught part of The Magician one night and it blew me away. A shame they don't do it all-night though, but eh, television.
