I don't hate Miles. I actually like him. But I'm disappointed in the way that they're handling him. Miles should be partnering up with Peter as often as possible. It should seem like Miles is Peter's sidekick. They should be learning how to hone Miles' Venom Blast together.

Miles as Peter's Robin to his Batman makes infintely more sense than Miles doing things on his own or when they tried giving Peter a sidekick through the form of Alpha. Everything is already set up perfectly:
-They have similar powers
-Miles already respects Peter a lot
-Peter runs his own company so he could be teaching Miles how to make his own web fluid and repair his shooters or develop new gadgets for them both

You know what makes Spiderman 2099 cool? The fact that he isn't a carbon copy of Peter with a race change slapped on his forehead. Miggy doesn't shoot webs, has talons at the ends of his hands, and most recently got jet boots added to the ends of his feet so he can get around better

Kinda what bugs me with most legacy characters is when they have literally the same set of powers and choose to use them the same exact way. Hank Pym's a scientist and Scott Lang's a crook. You'd think that something as basic as that would bring about some big differences in how they use their powers, like maybe Scott doesn't go in ants-a-blazing and instead uses his size to sneak in and maybe Hank uses his scientific knowledge and his army of ants to plan things out ahead of time so that he can just go in as giant man to smash things up, but no. They act the same exact way with the only difference being their personality
