When the Cap 3 trailer showed up I asked her who she was rooting for. She said "Iron Man because I feel closer to him mentally".

I don't know what to think of someone who feels close to such a character, but more often than not being a nice upright guy like Cap and Superman is seen as "unrealistic, stupid and not interesting".

It makes me sad. I'd rather root for someone I'd like to be like. Like Cap or Supes, than for someone who is exactly like my bad sides, just because he happens to be funny and rich as he's displaying those bad personality traits.

Something that disturbs me a little, because I don't really remember the Deadpool comic that well, is that Deadpool is constantly trying to join the X-men and even designed his own suit, but in the movie he's more of a loner and constantly denying X-men's invitations, even when in the comics is the other way around IIRC.

Colossus represented the heart of PG-13 cape films. He is no stranger to violence but the sight of a bare breast stops him in his tracks. He has seen death but he doesn't see a bullet point blank through the skull. He hears crass language quite a bit but rarely the f word if ever. The evil villain deserves to be redeemed. He's so clean that he's shiny.

Deadpool has nudity, has sex, has brain splattering violence and has liberal usage of popular four letter words. It has to juxtapose itself against the X-Men universe somehow but in a way where the canon couldn't be affected in case this bombed. As others have pointed out, Colossus was perfect for this role. He's iconic yet expendable.

So, in short, Colossus pukes so Deadpool the movie can jerk itself off.
