It's a properly-structured story with setup, buildup, climax, and resolution all neatly in place. It has a simple but consistent central theme. The characters are believable, interesting and likable. It has humor, action, and drama that feel natural and not forced.

Is "fun" a trigger word? I get that its pretty minimal in terms of describing a thing but so is calling something "shit" and we use that all the time.

I never liked comics but i just loved the characters, especially rocket and the MC
Love story it's there but not enough to take away focus from the main events.
Got a chuckle out of me a good number of times.
Looks pretty good.
The only bad parts are that facepaint doesn't turn humans into aliens and i just can't give a shit about a character that only says i am groot

I didn't much like how they handled Gamora.

It had a happy sense of adventure to it about a group of misfits coming together to stop villain man. It generally knew what to focus on and what to leave alone. Some creative action scenes that use the sci fi universe helped a lot.

It was one of the most well received cape movies and defied a lot of expectations, especially /co/'s. Therefore the /co/ntrarian backlash against it has to be even worse than usual. It just took them a while to decide to use the terms 'meme' (by the way, name a meme that appeared in this movie that was a meme before the movie and not after) and 'quirky' incorrectly to describe what they don't like about it because they have no substantive opinion, just a gut reaction because normies like it.
