Just curious: For those of you who hate Alex's political opinions (or are bothered by him being vocal about them) yet like Gravity Falls, why do you enjoy the show? I honestly believe the Clones will return.

Here's a couple decent reasons why:
When copied, they never had the pine tree symbol, it wasn't explained, but it did leave room for Dipper to write numbers. I see it as a "We can use the clones to distract Bill!" but he notices the pine tree symbol isn't present (he fucking calls Dipper that, it's something he'd notice) and their plan backfires or something.

Also, why would they leave their existence open like that? Sure seems like they'd come back or have a explanation they were destroyed

There's an imbalance between the amount of talent it takes to draw and its efficacy. The problem with those eyes is that the character always looks annoyed, smug, or lazy. Wide eyes are optimistic and expressive.

When Wendy looks bored, it's OK as long as she's not front and center. She looks smug/bored because she's like that, and her eyes aren't even like that all the time. You can't have main characters look like B^U on their own show.

I've stopped worrying about that, but now I'm worrying about where I want to go with my art. I enjoy drawing shota stuff, but if I continue to do so I worry about what will happen if I want to do future projects aimed at young teens. The likelihood of something like that becoming popular would be very slim, but if it does happen I'd be concerned about people digging up dirt and exposing all my old artwork.


I've even been thinking about deleting my art blogs lately, so I could get a fresh start, and within years time maybe my style would be untraceable. But I don't have much faith in that. If I was a normal porn artist and not someone with an interest in shota then this wouldn't be that much of an issue.

If anything, you're even more likely to get hired, since porn is one of the more complex and difficult things to draw well, at least compared. And, most people in any artistic industry have either fapped to porn like yours, know a guy/gal they consider close who faps to it, or themselves are/used to be a creator of such pornographic content before they got their prestigious jobs. Chances are, they'd look up your porn and worry far more about how well it was drawn than they would the content, unless they were actually fapping to it and wanted to make sure it was to their tastes.

Drawn porn's really fucking hard to do right. You can draw non-sexual characters and scenes in very vague/abstract/stylized ways that don't involve much detail or accuracy to reality and they'll look just fine by most standards. If you're drawing porn though, you damn well better be good at drawings tits/dicks/asses/etc. as well as general human anatomy, otherwise it'll likely be an unappealing mess and fail entirely at its purpose. A good-looking tit/dick/ass that's well-drawn enough to get someone hard/wet takes a lot more anatomical study and careful planning than general character/setting design does, and has much higher standards for what's "good enough". If you can draw really good porn, anything else is a breeze in comparison, and that's the kind of talent someone recruiting skilled artists looks for in candidates.

If all else fails, remember that Rebecca Sugar got her own show after drawing the 3 Eds having gay sex with each other, despite them being minors and from a well-known, well-rated show on the same network she joined up with. Hell, she probably got in easier because of it, considering how shockingly on-model it is if I remember right. If she could get in just fine despite/because of that, you shouldn't have much issue either.

Some of my employed friends which are great artists were and are all drawing porn and gore. One of them will 100% work for Pixar in the future, and another one, which made far worse art in term of context than what you did (very realistic gore of children) just got a very respectable position in a big industry in italy. The catch is that you got to make a difference between your art and yourself in reality. Just because you're drawing porn of cartoons doesn't mean it has anything to do with you. That's what I took from it too. Pacifica uses it because she's insecure and putting up a front, Dipper and Mabel normally have no reason to use that expression. Having regular characters have shifty eyes when they don't need them mischaracterizes them.
